Lovely, then Prospal back Thurs and Newbury a scratch till EC is back

Thinking DZ may get in 2nite to work the PP with either Gilroy or Eminger scrathced

If DZ is getting spot duty I think he's better off getting more icetime than he can handle down in the A. We'll see who gets scratchd in the upcoming games, personally I hope it's eminger. After the allstar break is usually where kids shake off their sophomore slump.

I'd still switch MZA with Callahan, but that lineup is a beautiful thing.

Newbury has done fine. And any difference between Newbury and Owens / Williams is not the difference between winning and losing for us right now. We have much bigger issues. A fourth line, fringe-NHLer isn't a make or break roster move.

rather have jason williams or jeremy williams who has much more offensive skill and can add goal scoring. jason williams used to be with the Wings and Hawks. he did score 20 goals a few years back.

Newbury has been perfect. Del Zotto if anything sucked big time this game.

It's nice to get our roster back to full strength(or almost). I wonder who sits when Feds comes back. Personally I think we need Eminger's steadiness for the tough games coming up. This month really is going to be tough. We'll see what we are made of.

Good.

Honestly, I don't understand the superlatives above about this guy. While none of Weise, Kolarik or Grachev did enough to displace a veteran, at least each of them had games where they impacted the game when they were on the ice (granted they also had invisible games as well). While Newbury didn't do much to hurt the team, he didn't do much to help it either. In fact, he didn't much affect the game one way or the other. And while that's fine for a temporary one- or two-game call up to help the fourth line tread water while you wait for the injured guys to come back, that's also a completely replaceable player.

meh whatever Newbury is a good guy to have around as a call up but he has'nt been able to lock down a consistent NHL job.

Surprised he did'nt stick around till EC was 100% but I guess they owuld just dress a 7th Dman if a F goes down
