Anyone know if it works on video game systems (specifically playstation 3)
I watch OHL and WHL....have the WHL season package.
I think it is good....some people have problems with it buffering....usually this is fixable by altering your media player.
i can watch it on the computer and the tv....not sure about on a video game system.
They switched over to a new provider this year, Neulion, and at the beginning of the season I thought it was markedly better (quality) than last season. BUT, when my PC laptops went belly-up I had to rely on my Macintosh (eMac, PowerPC G4), I have not been able to view a game since.
The Microsoft Starlight viewer that is required apparently does not work on older Macs and the support is non-existant. If you have a PC or newer Apple computer, I highly recommend it. If you have an older Mac, fuggetaboutit.
Yeah apparently microsoft silverlight is mandatory. And apparently it's impossible to get silverlight on any video game system. So my next option is to get a vga cable so I can broadcast my laptop on my TV.
I have used OHL livestream and WHL live before and only had a problem once. The game i went to watch on OHL livestream was being televised on Rogers Sportsnet all throughout ontario so they didnt have the feed. But other than that the OHL has all the local TV feeds for games (TV Cogeco for Windsor). I didn't have any problems, however it is expensive for an average stream. However it is really the only way to catch these games and see these future NHLers play so i would buy a game the day after in the archives so it is a bit cheaper. (It won't show the score and spoil it for you.) Hope this helped.
