Robbie Schremph Article

Just amazing journalism. I mean while talking about Robbie Schremph..they still find time to give props to the great one. Read it. It makes you wonder if anyone in the USA knows anything about hockey.

Spelled Gretzky wrong and London is the Knights, not the Storm, that would be Guelph.

And while we're on spelling, outKast, it's Schremp, not Schremph or Shremph. It's pronounced that way too - Schremp.

another interesting tidbit on Schremp

This taken from an ESPN article. link

Schremp's interview with the Oilers was colorful, to say the least, with repeated variations of the same word that got Vice President Dick Cheney in hot water.

"I told him, 'We don't use that [bleeping] word around here,' '' cracked Edmonton coach Craig MacTavish.

Frisky mustangs like Brett Hull have galloped on to individual and Stanley Cup success. It remains to be seen if the Oilers can saddlebreak this youngster.

Again, a mistake on the details (27th vs. 25th pick), but oh well. Comparison's to Brett Hull? We can only dream........!

I cannot understand how someone can put the Oilers in the loser column after coming out with Schremp and Dubnyk in the first.

Blues come out with Schwarz at 17 and theyre geniuses... we come out with Schremp at 25 and we flubbed it?

Is it just me or are the Oilers drafting underrated just because of the busts that Slats drafted. Getting Dubnyk and Schremp in the first round should put the Oilers in the winners column. Had that been NJ, I guarntee, they would be in the winners column.

I read something about Slats drafting recently that made me laugh. Slats said he didn't think he needed to draft well because they were a good team. Slats seemed arogant thinking he didn't need to draft well because of the success.
