the Guardian Project

Anyone else see this? The Canadiens' character has such a lame power - he makes everyone around him better?! c'mon! How about super speed? Maybe he multiplies? (reflecting our attendance) His weakness is stripes (of course) ; )

The Flyers and Bruins powers are cool - they are invisible to any detection devices and immune to the sound of whistles! Cool power!

1) We can steal anyone's power
2) We make other power's more powerful.

So, we are a mix of Rogue (X-Men) and a Bard (RPGs)?

But I gotta give into the stupidity of Maple Leaf's power. In itself, it's quite all right. It's just that during the presentation, all the Guardians got blown away by Darth Villain's windy power, and they all got captured.

Gee, It would have been nice to have a power that keeps you immobile, wouldn't it?

They effectively shown Maple Leaf's impotent power about 15 seconds in. Par for the course for the NHL.

(I can't help but feeling embarassingly bemused by this whole Guardian thing. I... I know it's shameful, but I am morbisly curious about it. It's the same kind of fascination that makes me watch The Room or Star Wars Holiday Special)

That fits though, so many players seem to play so much better when they're against the Habs and in a rink where there's actually some life in it. Their power should just work for teams with a french canadian though hehe.

New power proposition for the Canadien:

Honor the Memories: Before a battle begin, the Canadien can start talking endlessly about all the previous battle his predecessors won during the long lifespan of his identity. The ennemy is forced to listen during the complete tirade, and thu lose any momentum he would have acquired previously.

If winning a battle by even the smallest margin, the Canadien will then forfeit all attack skills and permit opponents to strike at will.

I was hoping they'd use the whole 'ghost of the forum' things and have him summon large zombie armies that do his bidding like change puck bounces or cause large flocks of Canadiens fans to travel around a cheer other teams out of their own stadium. Or they literally should have kept him as Cobra Commander.

What bothers me is that most of these ideas are just recycled ideas of other heroes.

Just way too gimmicky.

I take it google isn't working from your location, right?

Or maybe you never learned how to do it. No problem, here is a tutorial.

You're seeing it wrong. It's an amazing opportunity for lulz. This content is just waiting to be used liberally here. 'shops, trolling, ironic dick waiving, fan flick, slash flick, you name it.

Also, that things about the Guardians being a team of superhero makes no sense (and against who are they going to fight?), and need some serious work out. Everybody knows that what these guys are truly about is beating the crap out of each other, 82 times a year. For example, our guy is meeting some kind of eagle in a red stretch suit and a deadly scream tomorrow night. How do you guys think this is going to ends up?

We need to EMBRACE that crap guys. It's gold. Gold.
