We beat them when they were healthy, so we can beat them when they arent. A majority of the media outlets talk about how Pittsburgh is "depleted". Crosby and Malkin, thats really it. The Rangers had 10 guys out the other night. Thats depleted.
Anyway...
Without those two huge weapons, and the addition of Cally and Girardi - im hoping we can put a little more pressure on Fluery and continue the scoring from the All-Star game on him.
I'm so happy Cindy isnt playing, because now well hear his name only 25 times instead of 75 tonight. Another VERSUCKS game tonight, wonderful. During the last pregame I did, however, appreciate the fact that the Versus crew recognized the Rangers as a tough team to play against and talked about how good of job Torts and the players have done to this point - because they have.
All that aside- i really hope they take 2 points tonight. They have a tough, but spread out 12 games in February. I think the most important thing tonight is playing a hard - 60 minute game on home ice. They have 6 home games this month against some tough competition. Only 16 home games left this season. Start the home stretch the right way and lets make MSG a tough place to come and play going into the post-season.
Dubinsky says he has no pain and his x rays are fine via Zip.
I'd have to think he can play.
I am not a doctor, but stress fracture differs from regular one. Inability to detect it with x-ray is one of it's properties. If there's no pain he can play, but it should be for more than one practice. I think Dubi will play Thu. if he plays tonight he should not block shots.

Yeah I've had a stress fracture, and I'm not sure Dubi is making the correct call here, but it is what it is and if it returns he should be able to play it through the playoffs, it will just be relatively painful for him and he might need to stay off of it for awhile afterwards.
In other words, I doubt Dubi plays in the World Championships again this year.
I imagine they looked at it again using whatever methods they used the first time to diagnose it, x-ray or whatever. I doubt they'd use a MRI to find it the first time and then use a x-ray to see if it's still there or something.
The Pens have won 2 in a row. With a win tonight, they would have won 3 in a row.
yeah kinda misleading, its almost like they are saying theyve beaten us twice in a row, which they havent. theyve won 2 in a row against the rest of the league and are going for #3 tonight.

Not exactly what I want, but what I imagine we'll see. I'm also a little unnerved still about the radio silence on Staal, even after Torts reassurances.
Let's get
MZA Step Gabs
The PACK!
Grachev (Sent down waaah)/Feds/Prospal Boyle and Prust
the intangibles.
Just as a fan
In this real lineup I wish MZA was up on the "2nd" thats been our best line why break it up? Can cally or prust play LW? MZA can which makes the decision make sense...although
MZA Step Cally
Wolski Boyle Prust
WOuldnt have a prob with that. Dunno if Wolski would do well there but Prust and Boyle are consistently good players who seem to work well with everyone now. To me either line is the 2nd

You think Cally's going to replace Zucc on that line, as good as it's been?

Yea I just said that I def agree it's been our best line period why on earth are we breaking up our best line? That's why I was asking does it have anything to do with Prust or cally being unable to do LW? I thought Cally could.
Well this couldn't have gone better; we get a bunch of guys back and they get noone back. Now all that's left is the ever-elusive E word; execution. I know the Captain (the real one) and Girardi are both back tonight, but Dubi is still officially a "maybe", yes?
