Washington Capitals vs Montreal Canadiens Feb.1.2011, 7:30p.m.

Sorry guys this is a revised GDT, because i realize i really screwed up the first one

Big game here post all star break..go get em boys!!

lineups TBD

Injury Updates: Washington went into the break with a handful of injured players. Goaltender Michal Neuvirth, defenseman Tyler Sloan and winger Alexander Semin all practiced with the team on Monday while defenseman Tom Poti and right wing Eric Fehr skated on their own before practice.

Neuvirth might be ready to go, and the Caps haven’t decided yet whether they’re recalling Sloan from AHL Hershey – where he had been assigned on a conditioning stint – or not.

Asked whether Semin might be able to play on Monday against Montreal, Boudreau stopped short.

“There’s a chance, I guess,” says the Caps coach. “I don’t know. I’d like to see him, but he will be the determining factor, letting us know if he is okay to play. And he hasn’t done that yet.”

Caps lose 3-1.

Tomas Jagr with the game winner and an empty netter.

The Caps could certainly use him but if he isn't healthy and definitely ready to go I would think the best thing is to wait and make sure. The last thing they need to do is rush him back before he is ready and have him hurt it worse.

Subban with the game winner, lacrosse style. Ovi texts the entire game from the bench.

2 empty netters for the Caps sandwiched around a very late Habs' goal then...?

The NHL 2nd half mega-trap season is officially opened!

Beer kiosks are replaced with Starbucks' espresso shot stations.

Caps win 1-0 in a 10 round shootout snooze-fest.

I personally wouldn't give a flying cr*p if they win 1-0. A win's a win.

Because this team has built it's reputation on 1-0 wins.

It'd be nice not to be shutout or score only one goal.

I'm not my usual optimistic self about this game, Caps have lost their identity.

four goals in a game. 2 ppg's in a game. for those things to happen in wins on a consistant basis.

this team isnt a playoff threat if their only legit way to win is how montreal won last playoffs.

the longer this current mess continues the more i fear for the long term viability of the team. paying nearly $10m for a 25 goal scorer can't be survived.

What about a 0-0 game with a SO win? I mean that's a win so you'd be fine with that?

It isn't actually so much a win anymore, since it doesn't count towards the wins tiebreaker (if you want to get all technical )

I see Perreault having a 2 point night. Down 3-2 but Fehr ties it up with under a minute left. We go down in overtime.
