Don't worry, even if he's in nets the Pens have this habit of making struggling goalies/backup goalies look like Vezina-candidates. It's one of those side effects of not having much overall skill, and thus most of the shots are aimed right at the logo on the front of the opposing goalie's jersey.
STK...wrong about something. What is this world coming to! I mean that will all due respect since I really enjoy reading your posts and I respect your opinions and know you are extremely knowledgeable about the game. What really impresses me is your knowledge of the Islanders since they are not even your team! We are all entitled to a mistake now and again. Poulin played the last time that Adams scored the winner, 1-0.

When you're a Penguins fan, it's easier to remember games lost than a game that they won. For us Isles fans, it's the opposite.

D'oh! I'd completely forgotten about that last 1-0 game.

Well, um, let me rephrase then to say that the last time DP played against the Pens, he played well and beat the Pens 2-1 in a shootout.

See? I wasn't wrong. I was simply a bit too vague.

Bailey was flat out dominant to start the season and since his injury he hasnt been the same.

I'm not knocking Nielsen, i actually think Nielsen might make Comeau and Colliton/his other winger much better as well giving the Isles three good lines. Both Nielsen and Grabner both have speed to create space for other players. I just think its worth a shot.
The Islanders have a lot invested in Bailey. They drafted him with the idea that he would be a staple at center, and when they drafted JT they felt that they had the middle set for 10 years with two guys who would be 80 point scorers or better. Bailey is in his third year and he is lost, floundering, regressing, not improving. He has not been used at center but mostly at wing.
While winning games is important, in this case Bailey's resurrection may be even more important. We do not have any potential 2nd line centers in the pipeline for the near future. Our centers are Frans and Johnny, clearly #3 and #1 types.
They need to do what they can to get this kid going. Going to BPort didn't do it, playing wing didn't do it. He has shown flashes of very high level ability but quickly has reverted to lazy, insecure, uncertain play. There are 33 games left to this season, plenty of time to get this asset on the right track.
Grabner and KO together on his wings will not be held back by Bailey, they are too good. But they can bring him along, give him the chance to play with good wingers and take some pressure off him. These next 33 games are critical for Bailey and for the rebuild of which he was to play a main part.

Ready to get this game going and for Parenteau to *disappoint* the masses with a few more points!

Some of those Game Night responses about Parenteau make me ashamed to be an Islander fan.

Yeah, like Fleury is the next Patrick Roy, ha. One of the most over rated goalies in the league!

Uhhhhh...What kind of a short-sighted post is this? We have to listen to Goring on a nightly basis.

I guess they are not really serious about blind shots to the back of the head. For the Pens to come out with a power play is a ****ing joke!
