Condolences to his family. And hopefully the Oilers can pull out a win for him tonight.

I seriously doubt that a win will buoy his spirits after a loss like this. And if the Oilers need incentive like the loss of someone's relative to "win one for the gipper', we have some serious character issues.

It happens all the time in a lot of sports. You hear about the leaders stepping up and saying this one is for so and so.

Sad to hear this news, but not surprised. I'd heard his father was very ill. I remember when Katz lent Renney his private jet to fly off during a road trip and visit him. Hopefully, Tom had a chance during the All Star break to be with his dad and say goodbye. My condolences.
