That was quite a dirty hit. It's charging for distance traveled (and, on replay, leaving his feet) and pretty assuredly a rule 48 violation for a lateral hit to the head.

But I'll eat my sock if he gets suspended.

5 minute major, think of all the shorthanded chances we can give up in that time.

It was a match penalty, actually, which is 5 minutes of PP time but carries an automatic suspension pending league review.

Not even remotely dangerous, Morrow. God, we need Benn so badly.

Gagnon with a great chance right in front, Rask with the stop.

Why does no one but Gagnon and Morrow crash the net with any consistency? (I'm looking at you Neal).

I know it's unpopular, but they're really too reliant on Richards to run it from the point, much like they were with Modano back there.

I feel bad for the Stars fans who have to watch a Bruins broadcast. I mean, Ott is an agitator with a reputation, but Jack Edwards is making it sound like he enjoys burning down baby hospitals in his spare time.

I used to watch a lot of NESN when I lived out in Sharon, Mass., and it was just a mess back then. And I can't listen to Edwards even when he does games of teams I root for (mostly men's soccer). So I can't imagine having to deal with the combination of both.

Jack Edwards is what I like to call an unintentional comedian. You have to shake your head at some of the things he says but all things considered you just have to laugh at the guy.

Real time I wasn't sure how dirty of a hit that was on Sawada, but on replay it looked pretty dangerous. It's definitely not the worst of the blindside type hits I've seen but given the circumstances of the game it looks a tad bloodthirsty. We get it Bruins, you had this game circled on your calendar and you're killing the Stars on the scoreboard and on the fight card.

The worst part of this will be listening to Boston fans gloat.

The part of the game that worries me the most is the attitude the Star seem to have. Earlier in the season they would be down, but continued to compete and climb back into the game. Tonight they've looked dead since the first goal.

I said 20 games ago the slow starts by Dallas would kill them. It's been killing then for 5+ games now.

Wow, Morrow with a Samuelsson-esque wrist shot. 4-2.

Ott's really had a good game tonight all things considered.

That was almost a disastrous failed clear by Daley.

Loui to Brichards! 4-3! Don't call it a comeback...

Good job by Neal to drive to the net and open up space for that pass.

They would do this. They would.

Speaking of unintentional comedy.

Huh, so not dead yet. Still a ridiculously bad game overall but they're working on redeeming themselves.

Kari gives up a softie, likely kills all the momentum.

Our goaltending collectively has really nosedived lately.
