Last official update was a separated shoulder and a broken nose. I personally would eat my sock if he doesn't also have a concussion (or at least concussion-like symptoms).

The shoulder will take the longest to heal unless concussions issues crop up. That really depends on the grade of the separation.

I'm surprised he was up so quickly.....most of the time someone gets hammered like that, they're down for a good couple of minutes. Sawada got right back up.

Damage was done, though, so hopefully he recovers and gets another shot at NHL action.

I agree, I think he was serviceable until he got plastered. Good luck Ray.
