Custom Team Avatars

Anyone computer savvy enough to make some cool team avatars? I was thinking about those two-pic annimated ones that the habs, preds, and canucks have.

We normally do our own thing until the playoffs, at which point, everyone latches onto an idea, until the first loss, at which point they blame the avatars and go back to the ones they had.

Well.... lets spice it up this year and make one for the regular season and then one for the playoffs.

We're not supposed to care about this regular season. Making custom avatars would be caring.

I'm no artist, but I'll read up on making .gif's. Maybe we'll get lucky. Could you link me an example of the animated stuff the Habs/Canucks/Preds et al use? I've seen one of a team logo (Montreal), followed by something like "U Mad?" and then a cartoony image of all their Cups.

Anyone have a link to an example .gif like the OP is referring to?? Im decent with the graphics portion, but not familiar with "animated" .gifs, although just 2 static images that rotate should be fairly simple..

How about seizing on Pierre McQuire referring to GMGM as a Butcher's Dog during the game yesterday? The Caps fine performance in the last two games comes on the heels of GMGM's hissy fit after the Montreal game, so maybe that is the turning point for the Caps this year.

MORE SCRAPS FOR THE BUTCHERS DOG!!!

Regardless, I get a good laugh when thinking about the possible .gif scenarios.

We're far too snarky around here to get on board with plain old ra-ra-ra avatars.

Maybe we need to embrace it. Could be what the Boys need to get over the hump in the playoffs.

lol you remember the "dont stop believin" avatars? it took a looong time for some veteran posters to get on board and some never did. was fun tho because we have a lot of creative caps fans on here. some of them were really creative and funny as hell. the lloyd ones were also fun to do.
