Minnesota @ BizNastyland - 7PM CST - KSTC - The "No Attendance Jokes" Edition

Your Minnesota Wild is in Phoenix BizNastyland tonight and they are looking for a 4th consecutive win. There will be a large contingent of Wild fans that made the journey to the desert as part of the latest fan trip. They’ll be able to make it to the game in time to enjoy beer, soda and hot dogs for $1. As if it couldn’t get any better, the first 10,000 fans will receive wearable blankets, which should help during the frigid nighttime temps of 50 degrees.

Todd Richards with a beautiful wide open mouth.

Go Wild!

Heard it was dollar beer night there tonight?

You'd think attendance wouldn't be a problem with that kind of promotion...

Well, I suppose the Coyotes might be a little anxious to break the unfortunate little streak they have going on, so I am expecting a demoralizing loss.

Does it count as an attendance joke if I'm genuinely wondering whether there will be more Wild fans than Coyotes fans?

We will see tonight.

I remember a Coyotes game when the arena was full of opposite team fans.

Granlund scoring outside:

And here's a bunch of other articles to read. I suggest the Charles Barkley and Michael Strahan hazing the rookies link.

^Yeah, I was surprised.

Someone should post the flowchart in the opposite GDT. This is our luck!

Probably should have checked to see if that Granlund video was posted. My bad!

Pretty much any team from cannytown or the media baby teams. But keep in mind just about everyone moved to Phx they are not from there..

Out of any team besides the yotes i'm for the wild! grew up with todd richards as my favorite player back in the IHL.

Good luck tonight if you have to win just be nice we are struggling like no other right now.

They're playing in Phoenix tonight? Damn

Hopefully Bryz doesn't shut them out tonight. Minnesota needs this win badly even though we've won like 5 of 6 so far.

I was sent to this hell hole for work and have been stuck here for almost a year. Wouldn't you know it the Wild come to town on a Saturday and I get called into work so I can't go.

And not to get to technical but they are actually in Glendale not Phoenix. I think that is why no one goes to the games. People keep driving around Phoenix looking for the arena and can't find it.

That just reminds me of how the WHA had much better uniforms than teams today.

Years after the WHA folded, I lived in the Valley of the Sun for 4 years. There was an IHL or AHL team at the time that called themselves the Roadrunners, and I had some friends come down in March to watch spring training baseball. Well, that was the year of the lockout, so no baseball. So we went to some flunkie Fairgounds arena where the Runners played, got there early planning to tailgate and drink beer before the game. We bought our tickets (big mistake), then went back to the lone vehicle in the sea of asphalt, fired up the grill and popped open the beers. A team of security forces walked slowly across the parking lot toward us. When they got there we were informed that we were breaking the law, and if we didn't put out the fire and open all the beers and pour them out on the ground we'd go to jail. We grudgingly complied, and has we had bought tickets, went to the game.

The highlight inside was watching former Golden Gopher John Blue surrender a lot of goals, chanting "Bluuue" at the top of our voices, and eventually getting kicked out for being too loud, and all of this SOBER!

Love hockey in the desert.

Other than the Coyotes, every team in Phoenix has been named the Roadrunners. There was an ECHL version too that recently folded. It's like how there's a couple reincarnations of the Aeros.

Ton of #mnwild jerseys in the house here in Glendale. They better hope the Wild doesn't think this is a home game.
Oh God, yeah they better...
