The 3.9% is just the difference between 8.1 current and 12 career ...yes that is a 33% drop.

Having 3 young goalies is always nice eventually one will claim the reigns we can trade one and than keep the other for backup until he is too expensive

be prepared. this broadcast will be entirely about the penguins mind blowing effort without 87 and 71.

it would be great if the caps could just viciously blow them out and leave eddie o with nothing to say

Not if we score on our first 10 shots.

Oh not at all....as I've stated before I think ultimately Holtby will earn the long term goaltending spot but we've got at least 2-3 years to figure it out. Imagine having another Ollie type goalie but better for 10+ years in the net.

Ovechkin looking more like his old self, if he can get back to form for the playoffs we'll be in good shape.

Of course they have to bring up the hit...but seriously in the first 10 minutes of the game.

Conclusion: players 6'5'' and up are menaces to Pittsburgh's stars. Big Nasty's coming for ya, Staal.

Oh yes indeed....our defense this year is night and day from last year. And I have to say that Green's improved defensive play has had a minor contribution to that.

I don't think there has been a massive increase in his d play from last year. I think there has been a slight one, this year, and a massive one throughout most of last year. It's just taken people this long to bother to notice.

Exactly what I was thinking....his utter failure in the playoffs scoring wise was the nail in the coffin to most un-informed fans.

I don't think it's Mike Green's improvement as much as finally playing Alzner/Carlson fulltime and bringing in Hannan who has been a great addition.

Green is also perceived as better defensively because he isnt the proverbial 4th forward. I see Hannan below the dots more than him. The offensive dots.

That said, Green just made a helluva play inside our blue. Green gets better every year defensively it seems.

hence why I said minor....of course it's been Alzner/Carlson/Hannan...well that and the improved Pk and not having to play TFS more....and of course the improved play of Erskine.
