if the cap goes up a little then yes, the problem would come when we had to re-sign Hemsky.

yes the pens have a number of ufa's this spring some of which could easily be let go and not brought back

If not Boyes, then perhaps Versteeg.
If the Pens could acquire BOTH Hemsky and Boyes, I would S*** myself as Boyes and Hemsky are two of my favorite players.

With the original proposal, I would pull the trigger. I think it makes sense from a Pens standpoint. But the only thing that I am skeptical over Hemsky is his injury history. If he can stay healthy, I would have no problem with the deal.

Despres would look good in an Edmonton sweater. He fits their style of play perfectly.

Ha. It won't be for long. Despres is honestly one of the fastest big men I have ever seen. He has serious wheels for someone his size, and he will thrive in a quick attacking style of up and down hockey.
