So, does it look like he'll play Wednesday? I definitely want to watch his first game back.

He got deported yesterday so I would be surprised if he was able to fix his immigration things and get back to the country in time to play Wednesday.
I would guess he'll play Friday

He didn't have a work visa or something of that sort.

How could he not be a dual citizen? Let me guess, something to do with Bush's anti-terrorism crap. Wouldn't want to see Petey go postal on an arena full of people over an offsides call.

Why would he have bothered to get an American citizenship? Actually, let's just **** talk Bush instead of actually think logically about the situation, that's brilliant.

Alright.
This actually annoys me. A lot. We hear a lot of this the game is faster now, like he hasn't played since the stone age. As long as he isn't injured, the game is not too fast for him.

Can somebody please explain to me now why Forsberg doesn't have to pass through waivers since he came from another league in europe and why Nabokov had to pass through waivers cause he came from another league in europe as well? How the hell does waivers work?

Because Peter didn't actually play in another league this year. As far as I know he only practiced with Modo, but didn't play

Nabokov actually had a contract and played in the KHL, that's the difference

So, this is time number.....10? That he has attempted a comeback? I have nothing against the guy but if his health isn't good anymore, he should retire. Hope he gets to perform well for a last try.

Seems like he's playing vs Columbus on Friday.

http://www.svd.se/sportspel/nyheter/...us_5927793.svd

Google translate with minor editing:

It's time.
In Colorado's meeting with Columbus Saturday night Peter Forsberg thinks of himself as a comeback in the NHL.
- He will be one of the league's best players, "said Alex Steen.

His right foot is okay. The U.S. work visa is fixed after a quick trip to Canada. A couple of light away-jerseys with the number 21 has gotten a well known name on the back.

- I will not play against Minnesota tonight. But it looks like it could be the match in Columbus. It will be exciting, says "Foppa" to Aftonbladet.

On the night of Saturday Peter Forsberg makes a new attempt at a comeback in the world's best hockey league - the NHL.

- It will go well. We practiced a bit along the ice in the summer and he looked really good. It was nothing we talked about, but even then I thought he would be there from the start of the season over here, "says St. Louis-scoring forward Alex Steen, who played with Forsberg in Modo during lockout-season 2004-2005.

- He will be a good match player, måldriven and energetic.

Peter Forsberg will be at a club in crisis. The team fight with, among others, Chicago, Calgary, Minnesota for the final playoff spot from the western half of the NHL and need a player who raises the offensive quality.

When he on Sunday signed a contract with Colorado - the club that he won the Stanley Cup in 1995-1996 and 2000-2001 - it was with two hopes: to play hockey at an elite level and help the team to the playoffs.

- Peter is one of the best players of all time and is still really good when he runs at full speed. He will be one of their top players, for sure. In addition, all rise a notch when they get to play with such a class player, "said Tampa Bay's Victor Hedman.

Needing to leave the country so you can reenter on a work-visa is not deportation. He didn't get kicked out or anything
