Phil Kessel asks to be traded?

I just heard about it. you can look it up. Would you try to make an effort for him?

why? He's the ideal fit for Buffalo. An over paid, soft, sub-par defensively, underachieving offensive winger.

I did, in fact, LOL. Well played. I want him on the Leafs as long as possible. It's easy to lose with players like Phil Kessel on your team.

I also heard that he doesn't want out of Toronto, but is at odds with Wilson.

ROFL, nice. I'm still mad at Toronto for making that deal with Boston.

Watching the admittedly highly-edited clip from the thread on the trade board - it looks to me like he's saying he wants Wilson gone, and he's not being very subtle about it.

Tough position to be in for Burke. Either he eats crow and trades Kessel at a huge loss, or he caves to the players and cans the coach. I'm guessing Wilson is a goner.

Burke would want a mint for him to offset the fact his team still sucked after they got him which made the two 1st rounders they gave up blue chip NHL prospects.

No, he said:

"I don't really know what to say about that," he said of the benching. "I'm trying. Obviously, it's not going right. It might not be working out here. Maybe it's time for a change..."

"We've got to change something...maybe that's it."

"Me and Ron don't want to talk much."
He's talking about playing with AHL scrubs and how his coach is a bonehead. Granted, Phil himself is a selfish little jerk who never accepts any responsibility. No thanks.

NFW

A) He's not the type of guy I want the Sabres building around
B) He'd cost too much to acquire
C) I like laughing at the Leafs because they have him on their team
D) All of the above

That's why I had reason A on my list.

If there is an antithesis of what I want a prototypical Sabres player to be, Kessel is pretty close to it.

About the only thing that Kessel has that I want is high end skill.

But everything else......
