TBH, Makarov should've never let that type of goal in. Sutter was MVP of that game, but damn Dumba was hella impressive last night for RD. My only problem is he holds on the puck too long, but really doesn't have a lot of talent on that team besides him.

Awesome goal, but I still prefer Bozon's dangle as the best goal of the season so far.

Thanks. I give credit where credit is due and would definitely not be considered a homer.

Yeah Makarov has been very hit or miss this year and he was down way early there.

I've definitely heard worse PBP guys in the NHL than him, Minnesota's IIRC was one of them.

The sad thing is that this statement is 100 freakin' percent correct. The Wild announcers are absolutely horrible and shouldn't even be allowed to call the plays of a high school hockey game, yet alone an NHL game.

RS, I'd take you 12 times out of 10 over our current and past play by play, color, analyst, scoring wingers, and be a better Marney than Marney herself. I'd gladly give you any of those.

I can't blame the Makarov at all because it's hard for a goalie to get a read on that. Maybe the positioning of a pro would be better but it's tough to read because right before he shoots it, the puck is sort of loose and ahead of him while he approaches it. Almost like a knucle puck.

Unbelivable goal. Sick stickhandling, amazing speed. Wild got themselves one heck of prospect in Dumba!

Dirty goal. Great pick by Minny with this kid. He has Dion Phaneuf potential and could be a good #1 guy in the league one day.

I think he will turn into a Kronwall. Similar in size. Both really good skaters and both can really hammer people

Nah. Dumba fights. Mark McNeil peppered him up pretty good the other night. Still won't back down and holds himself accountable for his actions, though.

Personally, I like the PK Subban comparison best...

This kid was getting little love from the experts here at HF in the weeks leading up to the draft...his biggest weakness, sometimes tries too hard.

This.

Kid can skate, shoot, pass, and stick handle. He's average defensively but has the work ethic to get better. Frankly, I think this kid will be a serious force in the NHL in four years.

No, give him his due, he will fight, not the greatest fighter and he's not huge, but he will drop them.

Fair enough, that might actually be a better comparison. I love how his work ethic and leadership is well documented. Shows how mature and willing he is to be a professional NHLer.

I'm a really big believer of the kid!

Mathew Dumba: Amazing things happen when Wild draft you

How has Dumba been doing this year, there was the amazing goal he scored, the big hit he got suspended for but overall his stats are down this year tho they seem to be for the entire team.

is there any rumors of him being traded, i'd have to imagine a team would love to add him for a mem cup run.

overall how has his game been since being drafted is my question.

From what I've seen he looks great. Very responsible in his own end. Great wheels and makes a great first pass. The Wild have a great prospect on their hands

He's becoming much more creative with the puck since last year. Still needs to work on his defensive game, but he definitely has improved in all aspects of the game. He is also playing a ridiculous amount of minutes some nights for Rebels.
