Dog name suggestions
Looking for some help. I'm picking up my two new pups next Sunday. Male & female. They're Shiba Inu's.
Looking for either Japanese names or something that works as a pair. Can be, but doesn't have to be Flyers/hockey related.
My previous dog was Pelle
Has to be something the wife will sign off on:
Kimmo & Cobi is the current leader in the clubhouse, edging Bonnie & Clyde and Borris & Natasha.

If they were both males that might work.
I sold Kimmo for the girls name, not sure I could do that for Rico.
If it was two males, Mick & Keith had the edge over Mike & Jeff.

Ruby and Roo.
Ruby for the girl, Roo for the guy. And together they're RubyRoo, as Scooby would pronounce his own name.

John, please post pics when you get them -- they're SO cute. Love the breed.
As for names... I love the name Kimmo. For the male, how about Sami?

The last dog I named, my wife said no hockey names (I wanted Calder). So I named the pup Murphy (after roller hockey's Murphy Cup).
So many options ... Kimmo & Cobi is very good.
How about Stanley and Lady Byng?

How about Gagne and Foppa?
I do like CharlieGirl's suggestion with Kimmo and Sami.

I would have thought Cobi would have worked better as the girl's name. I've seen Cobie as a human girl's name (possibly nickname, but whatever). Great name either way. I've been wanting to name a dog Kimmo for a long time, but as my sister pointed out, it sounds the same as chemo, so you're going to draw a lot of funny looks from non-flyers fans.
Friends of mine named their cats GOB and Tobias despite one being a girl (Arrested Development joke). I laugh every time I go over there.

I actually thought about Sami on the previous dog, Pelle ended up being the winner.
Gagne was my favorite player for a long time, not a big Foppa fan. He's become worse than Favre.
Was trying to come up with something to go with Roo .... problem is JVR, Richie, Carter, and Pronger don't have good nicknames.

Sami is my present dog's name (girl). She came with the name, but I decided right away we would spell it that way.

The current names of the dogs are Godiva and Chocolate. The whole litter was given Valentine's Day themed names, because they are available to be picked up on the 13th.
If the were brown we may have kept the names. They were born just before Christmas.

I have to agree because it can mean multiple things and still make sense
