Nash is the X-factor tonight. He was quiet the last 2 games, so he needs to step it up tonight. We need our captain and All-Star to lead on the board.

I expect Pahlsson and Mackenzie's lines to get extended action tonight against a hard hitting Pens team. That means that the Nash and Umberger lines need to go all out every shift.

I think what you meant to say was, they have been playing chippy, clutch-and-grab hockey with Matt Cooke being his usual cheap-shotting ******* self and almost taking out Ovechkin with a knee-on-knee hit yesterday. But you are right about the 8-2 part

In the immortal words of the Jackets fearless leader Scott Howson, "It started last weekend! "

This Jackets team is past the point of no return. I don't think they can lose enough to get a top 4 draft pick. They have a two game winning streak. If they can win the next SIX in a row, they will be in position to sprint for the playoffs.

Nothing would say more than winning a back+to-back against a depleted Pens and a streaking Sharks.

It's test time, kids! One right after the other it seems.

The Penguins are a force to be reckoned with, with or without Gino Malkin, whom I secretly hope flew into town with the rest and is secretly shopping the local real estate. But I digress, on to the test.

There will be points for this one and it will count toward the final grade. There will be no grading on the curve so pay attention to the small things, like checking, SOG and a little D, one big O. Don't worry about calculators. We do have people doing the math. Do not worry about staying between the lines. A little creativity will be appreciated and rewarded. If you did your homework, you will be fine. Expose the weakness, highlight your extended responses. Make sure they know you came to WIN. You have 60 minutes. Now, go get 'em!!

If all else fails, confuse the hell out of them. Penguins are not smart birds. Think Harlem Globetrotter's style hockey.

love,
Cougar

Cooke should be suspended for the blatant run at Ovechkin. He's a *****, no two ways about.

I'm going to freak if Moore is scratched tonight. Why bring him up to sit? I hope Porty is right when he said that Moore stayed on the ice because he wanted to.

IMO Johny will not be scratched. He is better in the defense than Anton Stralman and I do not think Arniel will be risk Stralmans mistakes.

The top line must contribute tonight. They haven't done anything the last 2 games (well Nash did score in Detroit but it was waived off) but they have been setting up well in the offensive zone and not converting. I don't think the team can continue to get lucky by having the 2nd line score 4 goals or the 4th line score 2 goals, and we know the 3rd line never scores.

I couldn't stop laughing at this post lol. For a physical D man orpik is a very good skater and did you really just say martin was not too good at skating? You are completely ignorant if you truly believe that. He is one of the best defensive skaters in the NHL.

Martin is not bad skater but he is not extra speed too if I would have to give marks from 0-10, so it would be 8. I do not write about Orpik, find me his name there (when I wrote my first post I forget him to write to spped skater I wrote only Letang). Maybe you need a pair of spectacles. And you can laugh when you want and how many you want.

EDIT: Do not forget to write another post as you are laughing.

Michálek is not a good skater. What I saw (in Phoenix) he had problems with speeder players. But maybe I saw exceptions (my mark his skating 7,5 from 10), similar mark is for his postional play. But maybe I expects too much. But what is very good it is his defensive. I am very agree on his play against Calvert or Murray what are excelent speeders.

Sid and Geno are out, but the CBJ can't sleep on this one. Play All 60 & we've got a shot.

Maybe Crosbys and Malkins absence is good for Pens. Players will learn to take more responsibility on them. Pens wil be very strong in PO. Very.

Glad the refs didn't call a BS in goalie interference.
I hate when defenders are at fault
