Sounds like Beagle may have been sent down, King to be scratched, and Semin is playing. Green still questionable for tonight.

Sounds like Semin is back in the line-up tonight...as an outside watching this, I don't agree given they are off until Saturday after tonight's game. Home game against a Western Conference opponent and putting a guy in the line-up who has been out due to a groin and/or hip injury. After this much time not in the line-up, I'd think one more game sitting would be worth it in the long run. I know he's been practicing with the team, but just doesn't make sense, IMO, if he wasn't ready on Sunday afternoon that they wouldn't hold him out until Saturday.

Makes sense (what you're saying). Seems kind of dumb.

Maybe he was ready last game but they had the similar arguments that you have so they rested him for this game?

Maybe it's to give him several days off after his first game back, so they don't work him too hard too early (if he came back on Saturday, his first two games would be Sat/Mon, but this way they're Tue/Sat... three days off instead of one). That's the only thing I can think of.

Or, he was ready Sunday but they didn't want to risk having Cooke throw himself around near Semin's legs.

If we score more goals than the other team we should be able to pull this off.

OT is like an instant loss for us

It's fun reading the opposing team's GDT when we play Western Conference teams. Most of them have no clue that the Caps can't score anymore, and still predict 5-4 games where Ovie scores a couple, Nicky gets one, and one of Knuble/Laich scores a goal. I wish.

Also, you see gems like this:

Wallin's on the Sharks now, and appears to be their whipping boy of the season.

Should be a good game...hopefully there is a bit more life from our top line and I'd love to see mojo get some points to build his confidence. As for semin coming back this game...I think it's a good idea because it allows him to play hard but know that he'll have some days off to rest following the game. I'm sure the team has given him enough time to recover and haven't pushed him at all and this is a great game to work him into especially since it's against a western conference opponent

Well, have to brake my promise to go to the next one if they score 3 or more (against Tampa).

If Semin is ready then he should play. We need to catch up to Tampa, pronto. #2 over all in the east is pretty much guarantees to by pass Philly and S*ittsburg in the first round and I would rather see them in the later rounds. I know the PO's are still 30 games away, but those ****ers in Tampa donít seem to be slowing down much.
Iíll bet Hannan is ready for this one.

Let's not forget Pierre McGuire's blueprint plans for the Capitals, "One of the ways to win the Stanley Cup is to go deep into the playoffs".

lol, that was pretty spot on though. one could argue it's even the only way for the Caps to bring it home. Pierre is like a bullhorn in my ear, i can't stand listening to him.

i loved how MP and MaJo looked last game, i hope tonight they keep it up!
