Glad to read the twitter news that Green isn't playing tonight given the cut/hit to his ear/side of his head and the break until Saturday. Also glad he was well enough to skate today.

OT: Leone reports Holtby didn't practice today and isn't scheduled for the Hershey 2 game roadtrip.

Go Caps!

It's time for the return of the man. No, the myth. No, the legend.

Sounds like Semin is back in the line-up tonight...as an outside watching this, I don't agree given they are off until Saturday after tonight's game. Home game against a Western Conference opponent and putting a guy in the line-up who has been out due to a groin and/or hip injury. After this much time not in the line-up, I'd think one more game sitting would be worth it in the long run. I know he's been practicing with the team, but just doesn't make sense, IMO, if he wasn't ready on Sunday afternoon that they wouldn't hold him out until Saturday.
i think pittsburgh is more physical/ dirtier than san jose correct me if im wrong

Is Sloan or Poti going to be Green's replacement?

Sloan was taken off IR, and it sounds like Poti is basically back as well (skating harder than usual etc.)

Don't know about their physicality, but they shut out the Bruins the other night in Boston 2-0. Impressive for a west coast team to come east and do that.

I hope someone gives Heatley a good thumping tonight, I'm not a Sens fan and even I despise the guy.

screw that. let's be aggressive and see if we can wrap up whole thing in 1st round!

or we could petition Bettman for the Caps-Pens final alluded to in this classic Onion news story:

I actually like the Sharks. Go Caps just the same, but I enjoy their games.

There are several players on the Sharks I've enjoyed for a long time like Heatley and Boyle. Heatley is one of two people that I own a hockey jersey from that has never played for the Caps.

i thought i read that sloan had been sent to hershey for a conditioning stint and had been injured there. poti skating hard i saw but saw nothing indicating he was ready to play.
