That is an update from awhile ago/before the ASG. Sloan played 3 games in 3 days for Hershey right before the AHL ASG and then was recalled to Washington. He has been with Washington (for the last week) and has been skating with the Caps at practices and he took the warm-up skate Sunday, but was a scratch.

That was weeks ago, though. He was brought back up and taken off IR.

The Poti update was from this morning, I thought, and basically said he'd been skating harder than he ever had before (with a specialist in Vancouver). I figured for a guy with a wonky groin that meant he was basically back, if not formally cleared to play again.

Lol. From Nate's twitter...

It would be pretty ironic if the big storyline from my last game was the dramatic return of the one guy who doesn't speak to the media.

Another great test for the Caps tonight....Sharks are coming in 6-0-1 in their last 7. Our past two opponents were a combined 11-0 prior to our games against them(Tampa had won 6 straight and we beat them on home ice). I like facing teams on hot streaks because it really lets us see how this team is playing.

yet another erroneous "no-goal" call against us. I would love to see the league leaders in "goals washed out" because we have to be up there.
