Bruins have been given an "intriguing" offer for TOR 1st

On WEEI radio, Peter Chiarelli said there's been discussions about dealing the Toronto 1st, and he has one intriguing offer that's being discussed internally and is open to moving it for a star.

I'm a little worried about what Chia's definition of a "star" is...could be referring to any top six forward or top 4 dman....the guy is always so vague when it comes to stuff like this...Joe Thornton? Kris Versteeg? Tomas Kaberle? Chris Chelios?

Hopefully Edmonton goes after it. Getting both Larsson and Couturier would be HUGE for us.

Seriously, if I were Tambo I would give up anything not named Hall Eberle Omark Paajarvi for it.

Hemsky + Gagner + 2nd in 2011 for Boston 1st + Ryder.

He said on that radio call in you can bet on a trade for sure.No way he moves that pick unless a stud comes back.My bet,Bruins are after kaberle, but I do not rule out a top forward either..Its gonna be agonizing waiting ,lol,,

I would guess that it is from a team that is well out of the playoff race.

I wonder what team it would be.

I would love for Toronto to get it back, but that is a longshot at best.

Love it.

Chiarelli has spent years developing this team with small acquisitons and moves that have added up. Now he has a chance to actually trade for a 'Star' (Dallas perhaps?!) and can make the move for the first time knowing the prospect pool and young core is in place.

One of the youngest teams in the NHL adding a star while Rask, Krejci, Lucic, Horton, Bergeron, Seguin, Knight, Colborne, Kampfer, Boychuk, Marchand, Wheeler all continue to develop and transition into their 'prime' years would be perfect.

I really hope he gets a 'star' and not a 'good player' for this 1st. It will also end the Leafs and Bruins hatred and we can go back to cheering against the Habs. Bruins and Habs fans have been getting along really well the last two seasons.

Imagine the amount of Bruins fans that would go back to cheering for the Leafs if this trade is made? Boston and Toronto fans would want the pick to get out of the lottery range if Boston moves it.
