Great Player. Great Seats. Great Cause. (The Briere Bunch)
Briere Brunch - News Release
How would you like a chance to watch the Philadelphia Flyers from the Ice Row. Hear the crack of every stick. Feel the glass rumble as the Flyers check their opponents in the boards. Be up close to the celebration when they score a goal.
How would you like to help children fight cancer?
For over three years, Danny Briere’s organization, The Briere Bunch, has been raising funds (to the tune of $100,000 so far) for children dealing with cancer through the sale of autographed hats, donating all proceeds to charities in New York, Pennsylvania and Canada.
For a limited time, you can purchase a Briere Bunch hat, personally signed by Danny Briere, and be entered to win two Ice Row tickets to see the Philadelphia Flyers take on the Washington Capitals on March 22, 2011. The seats are located in section 103, where the Flyers shoot twice, so you’ll get front row seats to see Danny taking shots against the Capitals. Plus, each ticket is loaded with a $25 credit that you can use for food, drinks or fan gear. The tickets also include reserved parking in a Wells Fargo Center lot.
Each hat is $30 and all proceeds are donated to charities that help fight cancer. You have your choice of adult or youth sizes. For every hat you purchase, you’ll be entered to win the tickets. Hats are shipped out within two weeks of your purchase.
This offer is only available until March 15, 2011, so visit The Briere Bunch site today at https://www.brierebunch.com/. You can also purchase a hat at the upcoming Flyers Wives Fight for Lives Carnival on Sunday, February 27, 2011. The winner will be contacted on March 16, 2011.
On a personal note:
He has unselfishly donated his time to call us, to visit with us and even invite us to game 6 of the SCF. He does this with little fan fare or recognition. Danny has been a hero to my son and our family through a very difficult time. The very least I can do it to promote this wonderful charity

The Briere Bunch does amazing work and Danny Briere himself is actively involved in supporting the organization in addition to his own Daniel Briere Foundation charity. The Briere Bunch donates 100% of the proceeds from the sales of Briere-related apparel to the Flyers' Wives Carnival, Camp Good Days & Special Times(a camp for children with cancer) and to The Daniel Briere Foundation.
Currently, the Briere Bunch is raffling two tickets to the Flyers-Capitals game at the Wells Fargo Center on March 22. Raffle tickets are on sale until March 15. Anyone who buys a Briere Bunch ball cap -- which has been personally autographed by Danny -- is automatically entered into the raffle.
To date, the Briere Bunch has raised $100,000 for children with cancer through the sale of the autographed hats, with proceeds going to charities and children's hospitals in Pennsylvania, New York and Canada.

He ended his treatments in June. His hair started coming back and we made it thought the summer with almost no issues. the further from treatment he got the more energy and life he seemed to get. he lost about 1yr of growth during his treatment (only grew about a inch and lost wt) but has since packed on about 10lbs and 3 inches.
We had a little scare in Sep when they found a small 'blip' in his lungs; thankfully they were able to rule out the C word and a few scans/tests later determined that it was just a CT scan issue.
He had more tests in Jan and all of which came back normal He will continue to have scans/blood work every 3mths of the next couple of yrs, but if they continue to come back normal they will b able to pronounce him cured!
I could post a really nice youtube video of our journy... if the mods will let me
