25. Interesting theory from Jacques Martin: That PK Subban's improvement came from the challenge of replacing Josh Gorges. That moved the defenceman from the third pairing to the first, "which improved his focus," according to the coach. Some guys need big challenges to bring out their best.

On the first quote; That's just awesome! Love Moen's quiet style sense of humour.

On the second; I completely understand what JM is getting at. It's like some players who are average during the season but are beasts during the playoffs. It's the ability to excel under intense pressure. With Gorges and Markov out, the responsibilities of Subban's work-load have almost tripled. The pressure is now put onto his shoulders, and he's working very well.

I think the Bruins PP has similar numbers . One of the best 5 on 5 teams in the league, great in the 3rd too, but a horrible PP especially with Savard down. PK has been solid at least.

I agree though, I think this one comes down to special teams since Boston will be super safe at 5 on 5. Based on what you're saying here, the game could really go either way.

Here is the recapt of the game I was telling about. Again, remember: our PP was terrible before that game, Gomez hadn't scored, nor had Subban.

Yeah pretty much. Both teams are hard to score on. I know the Habs are 5th overall in goals allowed. It's no secret that putting pucks in the net has been more of a challenge for us. Especially on the man advantage. Should be fun to watch, hoping for our sake that Wiz gets a few of those blasts from the point through to the net tonight. Also hoping the calls aren't some of those ghost calls we've all seen around the league lately. Just weird officiating if you ask me.

btw Pk's been ok on the PP but not great. That's an aspect of his game that can (and will) definitely improve.

Indeed, it's called "Voice of Reason", the main symptom is usually to realise it's hopeless to root for the Bruins while playing Montreal. The diseases runs it course when you start cheering for the Canadien!

Solka- pshh. You should just stop talking for a second. We'll see after the game. Try not to get hurt falling off that pedastal you put yourself and your team on.

Tsss... Thing is, if I said stuff like that to you AFTER we win, I would sound smug.

...

Wait a minute, I don't care! I'll still say it after a victory! But don't worry, I shall eat my words if we are defeated.

Some pretty big ones.

Gill should stay away from Chara, it didn't end well for Hal last time. I was about 12 rows back, holy blood.

I guess Chara must've cut Gill with his Stanley Cup ring in that fight...

You should watch extended edition of one of the Lord of the Rings movie. It's gonna end right on time for the start of the match.
