Bourque to Pittsburgh

Crosby needs a winger right? I would say Rene Borque isnt a top 3 all the time but sometimes. Defiantly hes top 6 he has grit and he can score what would the Penguins give up for him? He can play both wings which could help the Pens.

Edit: RENE BORQUE

He's coming from Switzerland, so he would have to pass through waivers, right? I think each of the 27 teams behind the Pens in the standings would love to have a player of Chris Bourque's caliber for the stretch drive.

I would give a mid prospect or a late rounder for him.

I don't think there would be too much interest from Pittsburgh unless they could be a bargain on him.

So Calgary doesn't WANT Bourque to be a top 6 forward, but he is anyway? What a bada**.

I don't think Shero would break the bank to get him, but I think he'd be interested for sure. He plays our type of game, has a scoring touch about on par with Kunitz, and is on a pretty good contract.

Would Calgary really be looking to move him though?

Doubt Calgary moves him. He just signed a 6 year deal or so,he's going through a cold streak, he'll snap out of it. If he were to get moved, Calgary would want an upgrade anyways, (AKA Staal, which clearly won't happen) not a pick or prospect.

Isn't Calgary in desperate need of a rebuild though?

I doubt it. Not only did they just sign him to a long term contract but they are on a relatively hot streak and are focused on making the playoffs.

Probably but he fits into the team future whatever direction they take. He is relatively young, fits the team mentality and system and is signed to a relatively nice cap fitting contract.

I would imagine the Flames go the retool route rather than firesale rebuild route. I would think only Regehr, Hagman, Jokinen, Tanguay are available right now.

They're playing amazing right now, and have managed to get back into the playoff race. You tell me.
