Voted Kovalev because he made SO MANY people here in Ottawa just RAGE...that it makes me laugh and I'd give him a gold star for that level of trolling job.

Seriously though it's Makarov, just freaking dominant.

Valeri Kamensky

I know he isn't as big a name as most on the list, and his numbers weren't outrageous, but when he was on the Avs the guy have more highlight goals than anyone (though Afinogenov was close!)

My less idiosyncratic pick is Tretiak.

Third in pts...

Markov has 369 pts right now while the third D-man on the franchise all-time list is Doug Harvey at 447.

There is a good chance Markov will catch him if he stays reasonably healthy. Markov also has a better pts/game average than Harvey.

Zubov for me. His game was silky smooth and was great defensively.

Mogilny-Fedorov-Bure

Loved them as a line, and they all kicked ass individually in the NHL.

There is so much wrong with this post, that I will only link you to a post. If you feel like learning about Doug Harvey, one of best 3 defenceman of All-Time, click here

(And I'm pretty sure Markov, in all due respect (I'm a big fan of his), is in the outside looking-in of a top-20 All-Time Montreal Canadiens defenceman)
