Gomer had a bad game, it happens. He's picked it up since December, and he holds himself accountable when he ****s up.

AKost, on the other hand, has been in hibernate mode for too long now, and we've seen this too many times with him. Doesn't help he doesn't look into it out there.

missed word. "get". Pretty sure that your infinite wisdom will allow you to infer that missing word to help out a "noob" such as myself.

I'm kind of enjoying the celebrating on the 'ruins board. Their franchise has been a pathetic excuse against us for the longest time, they won tonight, good for them.

This was just a combination of everything going badly for the Habs..when was the last time we had this many fights? It happens so rarely, but when it does, people start crying out that we need fighters.

If we could somehow snag Umberger, that would be amazing.

This game makes the Habs really miss a guy like O'Byrne.

Doesn't matter how it happened. You can't hit someone with your equipment. Just like you gotta tie up your jersey not to give an advantage, etc.

Even McKenzie is saying it, we really need a young guy like that to be here to be with Subban and Weber.

I fully expect Gomer to pick it up down the stretch and in the playoffs.
I really can't say the same about kostitsyn.

I honestly think he's done as a Hab and it's quite a pity because he had all the tools to succeed....

i expect some suspension for the fights in the last 5 minutes (campbell?)

Pouliot fight was my moral victory.
I dont know why david kreicji(sp?) fought with him.

Im just happy that thomas and Price fight ended well and early

Im really disgusted by Claude Julien. I had respect for him, but after this.

What was kind of bad is Hal Gill and Wisniewski should have fight in spite of Hamrlik and Spacek.

Most of which are probably available, to me the only tough to get guy on there is Brown and to a lesser extent Bogosian.

Clowe for Kostitsyn & prospects or picks would be a no brainer if SJ would go for that.

Hey, he's not the only one... countless guys in this league would be scared to death to be expected to score in this town. But you can't play in Montreal and be that lost most of the time like he is. Look at the hesitation before he challenged the point on one of the goals tonight. Or how often the other teams D pinches on him because they know he's not paying attention.

It will be interesting to see what Gauthier does over the next 2 weeks.
Awesome post and I agree totally. He would be great in Phoenix or some other place like that. He is not what they wanted him to be and he has to go.

Nobody is saying to ice a team of goons what we're saying is add toughness to the team. For example:

A player like Malone/Penner/Clowe instead of Kostitsyn
A player like Neil/Clarkson/etc instead of Pyatt
A player like White instead of Darche

And there you go completely different team that ISN'T worse

Didn't Tucker get suspended for punching with his helmet???

Daddy won't allow Murphy and the other NHL lackies to suspend his boy.

Shark fans view him as one of their most important players. They'd rather trade thornton.

The fact that he's all you guys have to talk about whenever Lucic gets brought up LONG AFTER HE HAS LEFT is what is sad. There's this "Lucic never fights someone his own size" notion every single time the Bruins play the Habs, yet his fight card shows him clearly fighting middle and heavyweights throughout his career. I'm asking why this still gets talked about...on one side you're all saying "oh, look at the Bruins fighting non-fighters...bunch of goons", yet on the other side you're saying "Lucic should fight someone his own size"...really...who may I ask? He doesn't have any options and he's playing with emotion AS ANY HOCKEY PLAYER SHOULD BE IN A GAME LIKE THIS...

I get it, you hate the guy. But the fact that there's a belief you actually have a good reason to use this "Lucic is a ***** who never fights heavyweights" game after game where you see him is ridiculous.

GOONER....and a punk he goes after smaller guys ...Your team choked against the flyers last year while we with these little guys went right to the semi's..There is no need for goons on this team we were never a fighting hockey team..Tough yes fighting never...Teams like the bruins and the nordiquies of the 80s went nowhere with goons have fun with the win... were are a very unhealthy team right now so you won one....and you beat up and bullied guys who don't fight your a classless organization I hope you never ever win a championship while your alive
