kovalev may have some size, but you sure as hell wouldn't know it from his playing style.

arnott is slow and old and will command a far higher price that he could possibly be worth.

langenbrunner was already moved...dallas moving him again would be the ultimate durrrrrr move.

clark. chris clark? god please no. so overpaid, so not good.

cole would be a huge gamble, and i don't see it really working out. but of that list...he's easily the least offensive option.

i'd be really excited to see what a line like this could do. i've been hooting and hollering about it since the preseason. but honestly...you have to wonder if AV would be able to use it appropriately as a line. with the Sedins+Kesler's line eating up most of the prime offensive minutes.

and not to sound like a huge proponent of size and gooniness, that's a line i could see getting pushed around a bit.

but i'd still say it's worth one of AV's standard '1 period then adjust' trials.

Personally, I'd rather see Glass on the third line than Torres. Hodgson could play on the third line too, but his game doesn't fit in with how Malhotra and Hansen play.
And it does fit how Glass and Volpatti plays?

Personally, I'd like to see us pick up a 4th line center whether Hodgson plays that role or not. A guy like Reasoner, for example, would allow Hodgson to move to the 3rd line wing spot. It doesn't HAVE to mean that though, as Hodgson could still center the 4th line or play wing down there as well. By trading for a 4th line center, we just have more options. Plus, I think Hodgson on the 3rd would work well with Hansen.

Hodgson-Malhotra-Hansen
Glass-Reasoner-Torres

That would be my preference in the playoffs. If Torres plays well though, we could still have...

Hansen-Malhotra-Torres
Glass-Hodgson-Reasoner

If you think Glass is a better C than Bolduc, than this might be our best grouping:
Hodgson-Malhotra-Hansen
Torres-Glass-Sweatt

With Tambi and Volpatti looking over the shoulders of Torres and Sweatt.

Personally I wouldn't be shocked to see Bolduc called up to replace Volpatti or even Tambi at this point. I'm expecting roster movement this week, if only to get Meeses into the lineup for experience. Esp Bill Sweatt.

Its actually a very clear distinction. Malholtra plays hard minutes, not soft minutes.

Hansen Malholtra Hodgson
Torres (Trade) Glass

I want to say there is no chance Tambi and Hodgson go into the playoffs on a line together, but there probably is a small chance.

Hansen-Malhotra-Samuelsson
Glass-Volpatti-Torres (the GVT line...some of you will get this, others won't have a clue)

I would put glass or volpatti on the malhotra's line and put Hansen on Hodgson's line

I would also play Tambi over Volpatti.

Sedins Burrows
RKS line
Tambi Hodgson Hansen
Torres, Malhotra Glass/Volpatti

3 scoring lines and a checking line

I think I'd bring Tambi back in, throw him up with Kesler and Samuelsson and put Raymond with Malhotra and Hansen. It'd force Raymond to simplify his game. I feel like he sees what Kesler and Samuelsson can do with the puck and he tries to do it too but that's not his game. His best assets are his speed and his shot, not trying to make fancy plays to setup Kesler.

I am completely on board with this suggestion. Tambi is a smarter player, when compared to Raymond. Put him at 2nd line LW. Raymond-Malhotra-Hansen is a 3rd line I wouldn't mind seeing get some time together.

saw it another thread and liked the looks of it.

Tambellini-Malhotra-Hansen
Glass-Hodgson-Torres

Although wouldn't mind a trade for either a third line winger or a fourth line center. I think that's about all I can see Gillis doing.

A 4th to Buffalo, if they drop out of playoff position any further, for Grier.

A 3rd and if needed an ok prospect to Florida for Reasoner.

Hansen-Malhotra-Grier
Torres-Reasoner-Glass

I would like to see Hodgson take Raymonds place as a 2nd line winger, just to give Hodgson a chance to play with some more talented players then Glass, Volpatti and, to a lesser extent, Tambellini, and get some decent minutes.

If he doesn't work better then Raymond, I wouldn't regret having Hodgson sent down the the Moose, not that he hasn't earned a spot, but because I just don't see him being a 3rd line center.
