What?

He's happy and doesn't want out or is unhappy and wants out?

Exactly, most players never really are, unless you're Versteeg leaving TO..

YEah that is what I meant

He doesn't want to be traded from Boston

On one hand sure it sucks but he is getting scratched again because coach/organization likes Boychuk and Kampfer better

It isn't like he is Tony Amonte being traded from best team in league and his frustration would be understandable

He is the B's #7 dman ,,, Most guys would jump at chance to go and be a teams #5 in playoff race when not playing much in current situation

Mark Stuart's camp isn't talking right now about potential trade. Deal could happen tonight, but more likely to find out info in morning

So would the D lines be..

Keith-Seabrook

Stuart-Leddy

???

Should be interesting. A bit OT but I loved Leddy and Keith together.

As far as the 50 contracts situation all we need to do is trade a prospect contract the other way for that to be resolved.

Nathan Davis + TOR 3rd or CHI 2nd for Mark Stuart.

Nathan Davis isn't playing this season, and he won't be resigned. He's making the league minimum so Boston should have no problems with that.

I could be wrong, but I think Davis might be done with hockey...

I think he is too, but he's still under contract and Chicago needs to move at least one to aquire Stuart, so that's who they send the other way.

Why would Boston take a pick downgrade for a guy who's never playing hockey again?

Unless you mean that its him + either pick depending on how well Stan can negotiate

That's what I meant.

Tis why I put Davis + 3rd TOR or CHI 2nd which every is Boston's preference.

CHI 2nd, Nate Davis + TOR 3rd or Pavel Vorobiev + CHI 4th, whichever Boston prefers.

I get Davis isn't playing this year, he's not some missing piece he's a contract throw-in so Chicago can make this deal happen.

Davis isn't playing this year, great, but his contract is still counting towards the 50 contract limit for the Hawks.

Boston gets the pick they're looking for in return for Stuart and Chicago gets their UFA Dman. Davis is just a throw in that has no effect on anything other then moving a contract.

Boston doesn't want a roster player in return for Stuart, but I don't think the Hawks want to give up a signed prospect either (Danis-Pepin, Connelly, Stanton etc.) so Davis, even though he's not playing, is the contract that goes the other way to make it work.

we could send that AHL player to the Bruins and they add him to the Kaberle Deal... like it was done by ATL with Crabb who left us as UFA

Joe Colborne + BOS 1st + conditional Pick <--> Kaberle

seems like it's a done deal

next step is Stuart for CHI 2nd + Hendry or Boynton

They gave up way too much, unless Kaberle resigns then it's good for both teams. Kaberle won't get them a cup...

maybe TO added a 2nd, but it's doubtful... just wait for the call.

BUT Boston would be over the Cap. They have to move a Player aka Stuart or send Seguin to the juniors

I would like to know how we can fit Stuart without getting rid of someone who makes more than Hendry (600k)

According to capgeek we have ~1.04mil in pro rated space, hendry makes 600k, so that would = 1.64mil. Stuart makes 1.675, so would we have to trade say Stalberg, or get rid of 2 guys (Boynton/Scott)?
