Jarred Tinordi

Did he play a good game? What's the new about him?

making great progress and with the latest trade in his team, he's seeing lots of minutes under Hunter who likes him.

there's a mathias brunet article about him around.

An NHL 1st rounder should be better. Do you know someone personally that has played against him?

I would love to see Bennett on a defence pairing with Tinordi in a couple of years.

Nothing is impossible but they are both left handed so that is unlikely.

The Penticton Vees' bus, including Habs' prospect Mark MacMillan, went off the highway this afternoon somewhere between Merritt and Kamloops, due to extreme winter driving conditions on the pass. Everyone is okay. They were stranded for a few hours until a tow truck could get there and pull them out. They changed bus once in Kamloops.

Game 3 of their playoffs' series has been delayed by hour, so game starts at 7:30pm PST. The Vees lead the best of 7 series 2-0 and MacMillan has 6 points in those two games.

For those unfamiliar with BC, Quesnel is about 600kms from Penticton and under good driving conditions in your car, it takes approximately 6 hours to get there.

Can Brendan Gallagher become a good player?
His stats ;
4. VNC Brendan Gallagher 43B - 44A - 87Pts in 61 games... He is 5,8 and 170 lbs. I don't know this kid very well but can he be the next Martin St-Louis or Brian Gionta?

One things for sure about Gallagher, he seems to have a great head on his shoulders and the drive to succeed.
I don't think they are overly similar other then both being undersized. We'll have to wait and see how Gallagher does when he turns pro after next season, CHL stats can be very misleading.

I don't think Gallagher's size is going to hold him back when he turns pro, he's got Brian Gionta syndrome where he likes to ignore his size and go to all the dirty areas. And if you look at the players in the league, 5'8" isn't that terribly small

5'5": Gerbe
5'6": Desharnais
5'7": Gionta, Zuccarello
5'8": Sullivan, Ennis
5'9": A whole bunch of guys

Players like Gerbe, Desharnais and Gionta don't play like they're undersized and that's what makes them successful. We've definitely seen the same style from Gallagher and we know he's a driven kid so I don't see why his size would hold him back. The Locke's, Ennis' and Zuccarello's are the ones that have the obstacles because they play like midgets. Excited to hopefully see him and Bournival (and Zibanejad ) at the juniors next year.

The problem is he doesn't have the speed that Gionta and St. Louis do.

Tyler Ennis is a small dude without great speed that is having success, but his hands are unreal.

I think Gallagher's best best is if he becomes a clutch goal scorer like Eberle. Just right place at the right time, great shot and willing to go in the dirty areas. You cannot deny the numbers he puts up.

I'm still hoping gallagher manages to squeeze out another inch, hell, maybe 2? His numbers at 5'10 would be a lot nicer to look at.

Gallagher's penalty history pretty much shows how he plays. Let's just say not many of those minors are tripping/hooking.

Funny, i was just thinking about that today. So it's safe to say most of his penalties are roughing and fighting penalties?

For some reasons, i can't wait anymore to see White, Conboy, Schultz and Tinordi all in our lineup.

Conboy really needs to learn how to fight though. If he tries to fight an NHL'er in his weightclass he's going to get murdered.

He's around 200lbs though so perhaps his fighting might improve with more strength to go along with more skill. I keep getting the feeling though people see him as a goon...which he's not. Probably because of the NCAA incident/fights in the USHL and his brother. He's a lot closer to Lapierre than say Laraque.

imo, he's going to be 6"4 200lbs version of Patrick Kaleta. limited skill, good skater, hit like a truck and can't fight

Which would be perfectly fine imo. I think he's a lock for the NHL. Then again I said the same about Greg Stewart.

His first goal was nice but it's his 2nd goal that has me intrigued.

I disagree

CHECK his penalty history, i see ALOOOt of 2's and 4's

if anything it looks like he only has 2 fighting majors on the year, and hes at 98 PIM..

seems like ALOt of minor penalties..he'll have to work on that

but LOVE seeing he has a scoring touch in a league not known for its scoring

From the boxscores I've looked at they seem to be mostly minors for interference, charging, boarding, roughing, etc not the tripping, highstick, hooking, etc.
