The Buffalo Sabres will visit the Florida Panthers on Thursday without Steve Montador, with sources telling The News he is suffering from concussion-like symptoms. The defenseman was injured during Saturday's game against Toronto on a second-period hit by Jay Rosehill. He finished the game but has since failed a neuro-psych test, The News has learned.
Montador and coach Lindy Ruff would say only that the defenseman has an upper-body injury. Ruff acknowledged that Montador is not allowed to do any off-ice workouts, which fits the standard concussion rehab protocol.

Well, the key to the game is pretty simple: don't get your ***** kicked in the 1st period, and you'll probably win. Florida has outscored Buffalo 7-0 in the 1st period this season. Thereafter, Buffalo has outscored Florida, 5-3. Come out strong and they'll have a great chance.
I think Buffalo gets off to a good start, scores two quick goals, and coasts to a 4-2 win.

With the trade today, I wonder if Florida has a depleted lineup. And who knows about their mental makeup if they are thinking they might be next out the door. This COULD, repeat COULD, be a game that Buffalo jumps out early and coasts to a win with.
It would be really good if they can actually start a winning streak tonight and I think they will. Also, I think we can count on Skille being a factor in Florida's scoring tonight because of new team syndrome.
