I doubt he'll ever be the draft pick we envisioned. But while I sympathize with Higgins, I would much rather AK go down that route after we trade him. If he put up 25-30 goals with a new team I'd be truly at a loss to explain it. We aren't misusing Andrei. He's been here 5 years and been given opportunity but other than 07-08 has not shown top line potential for consistent stretches. I fear for future 1st rounders like Tinordi and Leblanc because it seems a real struggle to be a high quality NHL'er after the Habs draft you. MaxPac might be an exception to the rule, let's all hope.

Agree completely, he's gone from ok to mediocre to completely terrible.

Anyone else think Kostitsyn is in the lineup so the scouts can see him.

His passing to the points are dangerous...the points are covered forcing our D into a tough situation.

Kostitsyn is in my opinion, the dumbest hockey player in the NHL (relative to his skill set).

He makes the WORST decisions out there.

I only saw the Weber giveaway that led to the scoring chance against. Ahh, that was Hamrlik and Weber anyway.

Gomez and Kostitsyn have negative chemistry, they make each other worse.

Gauthier needs to look at centre options for next year because Gomez is earning himself a one-way ticket to Hamilton and becoming Reddenized. What a sad excuse for a top 6 forward he's become. And why does this team get so easily demoralized? We lose this one and another suckage stretch will be in full swing. They responded badly to losing to Detroit then looked listless against the Leafs and we all know what happened from there. And this is heading into a stretch of road games. We need to snap out of it tonight and Saturday or it'll be touch n' go once more.

Gomez is the sink hole in our lineup, ANYBODY who plays with him catches the Gomez Flu.

Hamilton.

If the Sens can do it, the Rangers can do it, then we can do it. Nevermind the so called "problems" it could cause in the dressing room. I don't think it would cause any with the way he's playing (and yes, his team mates take note of his)

Remember how Kostitsyn was playing really good, then we put him with Gomez, and he's sucked ever since? I'm talking the first time we put him with Gomez in like November.

We cant cuz

1-We have too much 'class'.
2-Molsons dont want to lose 25M.

Exactly what I was saying. Think so far this season and tell me ONE player who has played better when switched to the Gomez line.

I fear more of this and the crowds will start booing them when they touch the puck. Not that it wouldn't be somewhat merited but AK seems sensitive, he might use it as further reason to want to be traded. Right now he's playing like he's sending the message to PG: I want out! Gomez meanwhile, I could care less how he'd feel. He makes 7 million and apparently no longer wants to give it his all in the NHL. Let him have a taste of the minors in 2011-12 or retire because no one would claim him on waivers or trade for him. I know that move supposedly enticed Cammy to come here, but it still has to rank as one of Gainey's 3 dumbest trades as our GM.
