Leafs are always hard to play against, and they have new found confidence after that trade and their rookie goalie and Mikhail Grabovski and Nik 20goals Kulemin etc.

It's funny just when you think the D sucks hard, the offense blows even harder.
How does 1 guy out of 4 not score on a no name goalie in a shootout? Seriously.

I had 3 midterms to study for but I couldn't look away. I've never seen such a crappy game in general in a long time. That was some terrible hockey, for both teams.
Don't sell the farm for Kaberle and Phillips. This team isn't ready for the playoffs no matter who you bring in, not without Gorges and Markov.

Really? I'm at school, in the library since 7 watching the Habs rather than studying for my Stats midterm. I win at losing my time.

What's that ? Pouliot scored and was looking really good while Gomez and Andrei Kostitsyn have sucked ? Play Akost and Gomer.
Martin is a huge tool.
Will Montréal ever get a decent coach ?

How many wins with a lead after 2 periods again? Yeah, throw that stat out the window because it means s***. You play poorly you lose, even against the Islanders.

I'd agree if Auld didn't have a save percentage >.920

it's always fun to lose to the worst team in our conference playing with their 5th string goalie - while we're home

This team cannot be considered a serious contender at this point. Not enough firepower up front (not to mention a lack of overall physicality), and the defense is being exposed to injury. The losses of Markov and Gorges have forced Spacek, Hammer, Gill, et. al to play too many minutes.
Early playoff exit unless 2 big moves are made:
Top 4 defensive-defenseman who can set a physical tone
Top 6 forward with size willing to play in the tough areas with a scoring touch
The farm is stocked. Time to move some youth to address deficiencies. Otherwise we finish 6th-9th, and bow out in Round 1.

The defense has been terrible for the last couple of games.
The Wiz, PK are quite bad.

When the game went to a SO I knew it was a loss.
For some reason I was 100% sure no Habs would come close to score.
Wiz and Hamrlik were putrid tonight.
and 20 SOG in the 2nd period ? Are you kidding me ? This sure didn't look like a 20 SOG period to me.

Nah, my favourite was Pyatt out there with 2 minutes to go to protect the tie...now that's coaching.
