After almost a month and a half of voting, it's time for the final prospect. Make your vote count!

Jason Wilson won the last round. The vote to add a new name to the vote was:

Justin Soryal: 4 votes
Inferno: 8 votes, but no proof that he fought Carcillo

Please write in who you think should be an honorable mention other than the players who are already in the poll.

Kinda can't believe Danny Hobbs did not make it. He should definitely be on the honorable mentions list. I think people just forgot about him. 20 points in 21 games in college ain't bad at all.

Couldn't decide between Maggio and Niemi, so went with Maggio because he needed some love. There is no way Soryal or McNaught should be considered for #25, I'm not a fan of tough guy prospects, unless they show serious skill which Soryal and McNaught both lack in my opinion.

Niemi.

On Soryal--McNaught. Soryal was a pretty good OHL'er. For whatever reason he's more or less just a goon now--and a bit overmatched against real heavyweights. McNaught is a real heavyweight but not much of a player even as a WHL'er. Possibly he could make it some day kind of like Derek Boogaard. I don't see much of an opening for Soryal at all.

Niemi, over Stajcer, who are the only two here worth any notice at all.

Hobbs will be an ECHL player, if he chooses to go that route.

It's got to be Stajcer. If we'd had this vote in November he would've been in the top 15-18.

Stajcer. He can potentially be a starting AHL goalie.

Not impressed with Niemi at all.

I wanted to vote Didiomete for the LOL, but it has to be Niemi.

went with Niemi... HM to that Redden guy we got down in Hartford. I think the guy could be a solid NHL'er at some point... ok ok... real honorable mention to Lee Baldwin, only because I have his jersey and I'm hoping he doesn't suck ass all the time...

You have to show some potential as a hockey player to make it onto the list. He had to either score or fight. Ergo, no dice.

So Inferno's intangibles didn't get him a spot?

Honorable mention:

I know this is going to get me razzzed for a while, but Tysen Dowzak has raw physical potential to meet the bill as a stay at home defenseman. He has exceptional conditioning/endurance, hard shot, is very good at physical game in front of crease. Problem is his skating.
Would like to see this guy get more positive buzz, more opportunity to advance. Granted, he'll never be Zubov, let alone Leetch. He might not even skate as well as Brad Park at the end with bad knees.

But he could be good enough to be a stay at home partner to a mobile partner D, and a reserve enforcer..
I can only hope he gets the full chance, applies himself, and succeeds. It would be a waste of an otherwise fully useful hockey player if he couldn't overcome this one deficiency as to speed in skating..
