If that is the case, Hoff is in mortal danger til Tues and probably even til Ballard's return.
Not really. The Ballard injury was getting tangled up and Bieksa took a shot off the foot. Alberts was a shot off the hand IIRC.

Kuzma tweets:

And Hamhuis will play on Tuesday.

AV said something similar; Hamhuis for sure confirmed back, and they're going to talk with the trainers after practice today and figure out if Ballard is good to go or needs another few days.

Brain farting but for the Edler - Ehrhoff pairing it was Hoff on the right side?

When Ballard and Hamhuis are back I imagine something like...

Hamhuis - Ehrhoff
Ballard - Tanev
Rome - Salo

To be honest, i rather play Sauve and let him gain more NHL experience than playing Rome right now.

Yup. Looked like he was finally settling into it before the injuries started, too.

Ballard is amazing. When we saw him get twisted like a pretzel we thought he's going to be out for the rest of the season. Now he's possibly coming back tomorrow (a mere few weeks later) - craziness!

that's a really bad idea. Sauve has played admirably, but Rome is the clearly better option at this point.

Perhaps a blast from the past for a nickname?

Elroy "Crazylegs" Hirsch - a football running back and receiver played for the LA Rams in the 1950's.

Keith "Crazylegs" Ballard.... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Or perhaps Keith "Gumby" Ballard.

Now it's time for Edler to man up. It's only a bunch of stitches.

And if Ballard can play through the pain what about Bieksa?

Bieksa probably can't get his foot in the boot of his skate. Difference there.

I have a feeling Edler won't be back until game 1 of the playoffs. Even if he is ahead of schedule, they'll keep him practicing and send him to Manitoba for a few games to delay his return. It certainly wouldn't surprise me if the expected time was actually a bit less then what was made public, this will ensure we can keep all of our defensemen for the playoffs.

Ehrhoff-Edler
Hamhuis-Bieksa
Ballard-Salo
Alberts, Rome

How nice is that?

Too bad it's not that easy to reach Gillis and let him know that we, section #36 of HFBoards, already cracked his secret plan. Oh, well.

Hamhuis will consider retirement if another concussion were to happen.

Dan Hamhuis will return from his third career concussion against the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday, but the Vancouver Canucks defenceman says he worries about suffering another one and would consider retirement if he felt he was risking his quality of life after hockey.

damn.. I didn't know that was Hamhuis' third concussion... If I did, I would have said he'd be out for the season (Willie Mitchell), just like I thought Ballard would...

Oh and did anyone shed a tear when they said Mitchell called Hamhuis?

That's not what Hamhuis was saying in the quotes at all. He was basically saying if he had a really bad concussion, probably referring to the type of thing Savard is going through, he would consider retirement.

EDIT: after reading the article again Sekeras doesn't actually say he will consider retirement if another concussion were to occur either.

Gillis announces that Sauve re-assigned to Manitoba. Must mean Ballard is drawing back in. Guy is made of rubber!
