damn.. I didn't know that was Hamhuis' third concussion... If I did, I would have said he'd be out for the season (Willie Mitchell), just like I thought Ballard would...
Oh and did anyone shed a tear when they said Mitchell called Hamhuis?
3 concussions isn't really the concern - there probably isn't many hockey players who haven't suffered at least 2 concussions at some point. It's the timing and severity that really cause problems. I've personally suffered two concussions, but it's been years since the last one so a concussion at this point would essentially be the same as my first concussion (not that I'd like to suffer that concussion).
Still, it's a personal concern for Hamhuis, and far better he draw the line somewhere than suffer far too many like Eric Lindros did.

Yeah...over this last little stretch, Rome's looked good. These are the times we got him for - a #7 defenceman who can play decent minutes well for short stretches when injuries pile up.

Keith "Crazylegs" Ballard.... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Or perhaps Keith "Gumby" Ballard.
I don't think we can do better than "Mr. Fantastic"
I wonder if there's been any unofficial news on Edler. I imagine if he were ahead of schedule they'd keep it quiet as to not run into cap issues. Gillis did say yesterday on after hours that we will have all of our dmen back for game 1 of the playoffs, and the commentator during the game said (although I doubt he has an inside tip) that all of our injured dmen will be back in March.
I think were missing Edler more than most of us know. He is our only dman that can really take over a game by himself.
