I would pull the trigger on Hemsky (of course that doesn't include Schenn, he doesn't hold that kind of value), his injuries are not permanent and his skill is there, the past injuries can help in contract talks, and I see him as a long-term solution. Getting Hemsky does not mean we are looking for a short-term solution, and it does not mean that we still cannot acquire a good left wing...

And they brought Beauchemin back. The Ducks are trying to get back to that nasty style of play they had. If Hiller is still too tired to play hockey they'll need to shore up goaltending as well.
Burke is on the phone to Murray right now with second-hand Giguerre.
Hey, how else are people going to remember that there is a team in OC?
Product placement, use you're captain as the before model for rogain commercials, put your feminine winger in lingerie commercials, and I'm sure Lubo could sell a hell of a lot of girl scout cookies.
Toff is putting up elite type numbers in juniors right now. He's are only winger prospect with top line upside. I say take out TT, add Forbort and Moller.
Meh. I agree that I don't want to give him up, but you have to give to get and Hemsky and Brown are long term solutions. If Moller would do it instead I would do that in an instant, but he likely won't and Forbort > Toff.

Williams doesn't get paid over 4 million and secondly, Williams has a big history of being injured. Missed half of last season with the Kings. I wouldn't resign Williams to any long term deal, too much risk.

That makes sense. Who needs their second best forward anyways when you want to improve year to year. Moller will replace Williams no problem
Might as well dump Smyth now too. ****, Clifford likes to go to the front, same difference there.
BTW, if Williams wants to go to UFA, he WILL get $4+. Just because you don't agree with the market that exists in the league doesn't mean it is the way you want it to be.

I disagree. Toff > Forbort
Also, our prospect pool is weak at wing and deep at defense. It makes more sense to move a defenseman.

No way. Forbort is the best player available by far regardless of team need. I agree it makes more sense to move a defenseman, but if a forward prospect is needed and he is who they want, the assets coming the other way takes care of that as long as you sign one.

Not the point. I would move Forbort before Toffoli. Toffoli may not be the best prospect in the world, but it would be terrible for the Kings to trade their only goal scoring winger prospect who has size. I would be uber pissed if we moved this guy. Forbort I could live without VERY easily so long as the return was good.
The other point is you are acquiring a 30 goal scorer in the process. I would trade a potential 30 goal scorer for a 30 goal scorer any day and twice on Sunday.

Ah. Well, Penner and Toffoli are two very different players.
I'm usually not really hung up on holding onto prospects, but I would trade Schenn, Simmonds, Richardson and many others before Toffoli. Not because he is better, but because he is wholly unique to the Kings as an organization.

Wow Then the argument is obviously over. Toff is second on my list of prospects I won't trade, in between Schenn and Forbort, but I would deal him if enough offensive firepower is coming our way. Hemsky + Penner, in my opinion, is enough. But I understand your stance, I don't want to deal him either.

Well, I would trade him in a package for Parise or Gaborik. For a similar player. I guess I might put hi min with Hemsky+Penner depending on who else we are talking about sending off here.

Some questions, what's the most goals Hemsky scored? When was that?
Toffoli is something else, he's got the size and the hands and he's finally improving with his skating, it was his only knock and you see it reflecting on his stats. He's 4 goals away from the 50 goal mark, a huge accomplishment for a 2nd year junior player. He's a 1991 lol, so it's not like he's a man playing with kids, he's one of those kids. Very impressed with him
