Player of the Game & The Good, The Bad, The Redden

The Rules What is the poll for? You are voting for the player of the game - the one who put forth the most effort, who put the team on his shoulders, who contributed the most. Do not vote for the player who had the best statistical game just because he had the best statistical game. This does not mean you should not vote for the player of who had the best statistical game, but do not vote for him just because of that fact. Who can I vote for? In the case that I egregiously miss the player who everyone wants to vote for in the poll, I will count the votes in the thread. What is this "The Good, The Bad, The Redden" nonsense? It is my twist on the title of the famous spaghetti western movie, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Since multiple players may have outstanding games and you can only vote for one player in the poll, this affords you the opportunity to recognize multiple players, or a facet of the team, for their commendable play ("The Good"). This also affords you the opportunity to rip players, or a facet of the team, for their particularly substandard play ("The Bad"). Finally, just as "The Player of the Game" affords you the opportunity to recognize the best, this affords you the opportunity to commend the crème de la crème of the worst, who delivered an atrocious performance, or whose singular (or multiple) bad plays directly led to the the detriment of the team ("The Redden").

Alexander Frolov Memorial Trophy The Alexander Frolov Memorial Trophy is awarded to the player who most exemplifies the qualities that Alex brought to the ice game in and game out. Most notable was his talent for wraparounds. Thusly, this award is given to the player who has the most wraparound attempts throughout the game. Rangers had a ton of time off to basically not show up in the 3rd period. Stupid, lazy penalties.

Sorry but nobody is above criticism in this game, including Lundqvist.

They are awake and the effort is there...

Del Zotto just sucks and Gilroy isn't much better. Why they are on the same pairing is beyond me.

Rangers aren't scoring goals though... Too many open net misses and in a game like that Gabby has to finish on the penalty shot.

This was by far the worst loss. We lost to a team chasing us in the standings AFTER having a lead with six minutes left. Pathetic.

At this rate you have to be concerned, effort or not, no goals - no wins. At this time of the year you can't have rookie mistakes costing you games either. Also Gaborik has the game on his stick during a PS and can't even bother to lift the puck against a butterfly goalie?

A whole bunch of fail for this sack of losers. I will say that if we don't get a nice three game winning streak going soon we are going to slide right out of the race before the end of the year.

Goodbye playoff spot, we hardly knew ye.

I was to busy watching the hilarious Isle Pen game after the Rangers went down 3-2.

At the end of the game there were 4 Isles and 2 Pens left on the bench due to all the penalties. The refs ended the game with 1:15 left

Anisimov, DZ, and Gilroy all stood out in a negative way tonight. Stepan I barely noticed at all. I guess this is a game you chalk up to growing pains.

Lundqvist was excellent and Gaborik started to look like his old self.

Need to see more from Christensen, Wolski, Callahan, and Boyle, they haven't been doing much offensively.

They shoulda had this game. Defensive lapses and squandering prime scoring opportunities are getting quite tiresome.
