Boston reporters are the worst in the league by a country mile. There's no going around this. Every team has biased reporting but Bruins are in another class in respect to this.

Never forget that the American sports media outlets take their best writers for baseball, football and basketball, in that order. For the hockey stuff, they take the scrubs. Most of them couldn't even get a job with a canadian newspaper to cover hockey. So don't bother.

ive said this before a hundred times, but how would you feel when one franchise has single handedly owned you throughout your history? The bitterness runs deep for all bruins fans. We have broken their hearts on countless occasions. As soon as they can feel "proud" about a regular season win, they act as if they are the superior franchise, when history, recent & old, shows otherwise (minus the 4 game sweep, but we all know that team was in shambles).

The Boston mentality will never change so dont even try to decipher their thought processes. Worst thing is, they have a good enough team to actually play and win, but they rather give in to their insecurities & beat smaller players down.

What's sad is that I actually like these 2 guys (Felger and Mazarrati or however you spell that) when they don't talk about hockey or anything related to Europe or Quebec (they are seriously racist). Maybe it's because I don't know the NFL or Baseball enough to realize that what they say is total crap though... but I actually find that the guy often has interesting points, but god when they start talking about something like that you just want to punch them.

Their talk about Wednesday's game was disgusting too, some callers were actually calling to say that the end of the game was a disgrace because of how they were punching guys who were not fighting back and Felger was like 'oh but they were not out, they were just turtling, you can hit a guy that's turtling. So, maybe they broke some code, who cares, that's what the Bruins need to be'. And... that's when I put a CD because I couldn't believe the stupidity of the comment.

It's like the Bruins as a whole... living here I try to like them at least as a 2nd team and follow a bit what they're doing and their players, and sometimes I get to appreciate the team... then a game like Wednesday happens and I'm reminded that I can just never root for that bunch of cavemen and their fans that crave seeing goons bashing on guys that are not defending themselves and remember why I hate them again.

It's hilarious that the line between journalists, hockey commentators, and fans is so thin in Boston, no other NHL city is like that, and you wonder why a body-check is cheered for louder than a win there?

They kicked our ass, once this year, oh noes!

I think their writers sit in the cheap seats.

Fine.

But I can do this instead.

Montreal has won 24 of 32 all time playoff series. That is a winning pct% of 75%. Hilarious.

Montreal has won 3 of the last 4 playoff series as well. Congrats on 2009. We have 2002, 2004 and 2008. (75%)

Since the lockout, Montreal has a record of 32-10-1 against Boston. (Winning % of 75%)

Montreal lost last game? They won the previous 3 including a comeback. (75%)

You can take your moral victories, we will take the wins.

All time winning % against Boston? 75%.

I've said it all along: the Bruins have an inferiority complex. They had to goon it up in an attempt to prove a point.

who cares what those idiots say

though it is amusing to wonder what Ray Bourque or Patrice Bergeron or Marc Savard would think of their insulting French Canadians . . .

By heritage, yes, but he was born around Ottawa and I'm pretty sure he grew up speaking English. Might be wrong.

Or the people of French Canadian descent in the area, which is a hell of a lot in Rhode Island and places like Lowell. My parents are from New England and I remember driving past a Catholic cemetery in Woonsocket, RI to go visit my uncle (a big B's fan). I'm telling you, cemeteries in deepest, rural Quebec didn't hold as many people with French names as this one did - possibly because they all emigrated to work in the mills like these souls did. Until recently towns like Woonsocket and Lowell had French language public TV and showed La soiree.

Like I said above, my parents are from New England and this is part of the reason my dad and I are Habs fans. It's not demeaning or insulting to say a large portion of the Bruins fanbase loves goon hockey and the team's played up for that over the years. I just can't stand that stuff personally and my dad doesn't like it either (as he says you play the game to put the puck in the net, not punch a guy). Add into it the casual bigotry towards French Canadians and it explains why I love the Red Sox and Celtics, but root for the Habs.

It is just too funny when their best players are two Canadians, one from Quebec in Bergeron and Savard with French roots...not to mention new fan favorite Marchand.

Too stupid to be funny.

The Bruins can play like that all the time for all I care, not going to work in a 7 game series. Look what happened to them last night against the Wings.
