Man its gona feel good......

To no longer be called a SMALL TEAM.

For years we have been cursed by the word small. "Oh...their too small down the middle", "their a bunch of smurfs", "the Habs lack size". Yes, this was all true, but if anyone says that again, ill snap and go into a deep trance where i will feed on nothing but freshly brued alcohol. Man its gona feel good to longer have to put with the name calling. We now have SIZE people. If we sign Kovalev and Lappy, were gona right up there with the other big boys!

I realize this didnt need a thread, but, i had to get it off my back. Gainey has cured me of alcohol, unless...........................!

yeah agree we are a big team now with the additon of Bonk I don't think we are a small team now but as like you said if we can resign Kovy and sign Lappy we will be a big team for many years all the people said that the canadiens need size at center and bla bla bla it's finish now ! stop talking about size now we are big team ! I am very happy now because I am not sure now that a lot of people will say that we are a small team and we can't play vs the big team like philly or the bruins it's finish now !!

Maybe Gainey also felt a trace of some sort coming on, and felt that getting Bonk was in his best interest for protectoin from such harshness. I hope he gets 3rd party insurance with Kovalev, and then full coverage with Lappy!

LOL!

Although we did get bigger down the middle, i'd still like to see Gainey address the 4th line, Laperriere is definately a start, I wouldn't mind seeing a guy like Chris Simon as our tough guy, but he'll probably demand too much money, but if Langdon isn't resigned, another tough guy who can take a regular shift would be key, our 3rd and 4th lines could look like...

Simon would probably cost too much for the fourth line. I think getting one guy like Lappy would do it. Overal though, we do need atleast one tough guy, i agree!

Plus Simon has the skill to easily be a third liner, if not a decent second liner on a skilled line!

Guys.Laparriere is only 6'0 ...which is considered now average.
Bonk does add some size and if we get Kovalev..6'2..he will add more size but that's an IF!...it's not Bonk that's gonna change the trend.

Adding Radek doesent make you a Big team, if you sign Kovy then you are average. Laperriere is average therefore inconsequential. Adding Simon might make you an above average team. The sens on the other hand have 2 forwards 6'2 or over (Langfeld 6'3 Spezza 6'2) .

You kinda lost me with your comment here. Are you saying the Sens are a big team because they have 2 guys 6'2 and over? The Sens have a big team, mainly because of your defence. No arguing that. However, playing like a big team is completley different.
