The chemistry Joker and GlennX have lately is amazing. Moss is also a good fit on that line, a whole lot of good skaters with size and grit.

The top line with BMo/Iggy/Tangs was great and hopefully it can be put back together and continue to produce for us.

Stajan is still, well: But Jackman/TK are playing very well, playing their games, working hard and skating. Although I do think Stajan has played well (scoring aside).

I really like our D pairings but it is too bad that Pardy is out, I was really starting to like his game. His size and mobility were a great asset on the 3rd pairing.

This would be an easy win if our forwards play their D hard. We can skate with the best when we actually move our legs. We have been skating lately and it has worked, we need to keep doing that. Their thin on D and the secondary scoring is going to be huge. Getting Olli and Glenner out against Tanev (who the fk is this guy?) or any of the other minor league defensemen will get us goal.

GO FLAMES!

Hopefully the Capitals beat the Kings in regulation this afternoon.

Any word on Tanguay?

1st - Me too.

2nd - I haven't seen anything from any of the usually sources but neck injury's can be tough to judge. I've seen it be a few days, or a month. Hopefully this is a quick return for Tangs. He did say he was a little banged up so I wouldn't be surprised to see him take an extra game just to recoup a little.

Not sure how credible this is, but:

Calgary Flames winger Alex Tanguay is expected to return to the lineup Monday, the Calgary Sun reports.

Who goes in net? Kipper or CT?

Also, take a look at VAN's injuries:

Keith Ballard - D - 02/08/2011 - is on injured reserve and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks - sprained right knee
Guillaume Desbiens - RW - 11/05/2010 - is on injured reserve and is out indefinitely - broken right hand
Alexander Edler - D - 01/25/2011 - is on injured reserve and is out indefinitely - back surgery
Dan Hamhuis - D - 02/10/2011 - is out indefinitely - concussion
Roberto Luongo - G - 02/10/2011 - is questionable for Saturday's game against Calgary - illness
Rick Rypien - C - 11/25/2010 - is out indefinitely - personal
Sami Salo - D - 09/13/2010 - is expected to be activated from injured reserve for Saturday's game against Calgary - right Achilles surgery
Lee Sweatt - D - 02/03/2011 - is on injured reserve - foot

Their D is decimated. Possibly no Luongo. We can take these guys.

I agree with the assessment on the D but Schnieder has been just as good, if not better than Lu. Either goalie will be just as hard to beat.

Salo is expected to play. He might be shaky IIRC it's his first game back in 6 months. They still have Bieksa, Ehrhoff and Alberts. Tanev and Rome will round out their 5/6 pairing. Not the worst D but without Ballard, Hamhuis and Edler they took a HUGE blow to the D.

With the way the Flames have been playing the past 2 months, i would expect nothing less then a bounce back game after last night. Kipper will not let another night like that happen, especially against the Canucks!

The D is crumbling in Vancouver, the Flames are on a tear looking to make the playoffs and possibly home ice advantage so I personally see the Flames tightening up after last night and come out with a win

4-1 Flames

Nothing (short of Jessica Alba showing up at my door with a case of beer and less than wholesome motives) would make me happier tonight than an absolute ass kicking of the Canucks.

Motivated Flames should be able to beat an increasingly rag-tag Canucks squad, our blue line is in absolute shambles.

I'm torn between wanting 2 points and wanting Calgary to squeeze Chicago out of the playoffs.

Luongo is not a problem, Calgary usually does pretty good against him.

We got to try and wear down their D physically tonight, especially if some of them aren't playing at 100%. Glad to here Tanguay might be back.

Er... you ARE aware this is, in a pure statistical sense, the best team in the league, right? Flames are playing out of their minds right now, and it's fun to see... but I hope, for your sake, Calgary's players aren't taking Vancouver as lightly as you appear to be.

Bieksa/Alberts
Ehrhoff/Salo
Tanev/Rome

With regards to the questions about Chris Tanev, he has been an extremely reliable, intelligent 21-year old d-man for the Nucks in his spot duty this year. Gillis was preparing to send him down earlier this week, with Salo on the mend... but then Ballard and Hamhuis went down, and everything went to hell. So he's here until further notice.

The bigger worry, as a Canucks fan, is Aaron Rome, who is an absolute bonehead with the puck, but for some unbeknowest reason, is one of AV's absolute favorites.

Anyway, glad to see the Flames doing as well as they are. It makes these meetings so much better.

Bieksa has been smarter and Erhoff is dangerous; with the offense upfront the defense can still be dangerous.

Remember there's still Kesler, Sedins, Burrows, boys.

If you want to be the best, you need to beat the best.

If you are afraid of a first round opponent in the 8th spot, you can't have much confidence in your team.

You think you would run over our Flames

Flames win this one. 4-3. OT doesn't matter since Van is so far ahead.

I swear to god, as a Canuck fan, I'm almost okay with losing today AS LONG AS YOU DON'T INJURE ANY OF OUR D!!! Well, you can hurt Rome.
