Booth to Boston?

What would it take to get David Booth to Boston? His name has been rumored in trade talks already, he's a pretty good fit for Boston, left handed shot, only 3.5m per year and he's played pretty well with Nathan Horton in the past.

Is this a joke? He's barely over .5 PPG and a -15. I know Booth is a good player but he is absolutely not that good.

Considering Toronto will probably pass the Panthers and finish with the 6th or 7th pick, I'm serious.

Agreed. People need to stop acting like its going to be No1 or 2. There's a chance; but its much smaller than last year.

package toronto's 1st, wheeler and ryder for cap purposes for weiss and booth; then boston can move their own 1st with stuart for kaberle

lucic krejci horton
booth bergeron recchi
marchand weiss seguin

chara boychuk
kaberle seidenberg
ference mcquaid

looks good to me for the playoffs...and even good contracts for next season, re-sign kaberle

I could agree they could pass Florida, but NJ will be ahead of Toronto very soon.

Minn 2nd and Zach Hamill for Booth. We need an elite winger and Booth may be that.

Sweet Booth. Any other concussion prone players we can make bids for while we at it?

About the OP. This team needs Weiss, not Booth.

I disagree. I think we need a winger over a center. We have Campbell, Bergeron, Seguin and Krejci.

I trust Wheeler more than Seguin in the playoffs.

Seguin isn't ready, he should be on the team, but playing with Campbell and Thornton.

Wheeler never had a good playoff. IMO he is gone by the deadline.

Through 21 career playoff games, hes got 6 points and is a minus 6. He's not exactly a clutch player. I'd rather let Seguin get that experience.

IMO, Seguin is useless on that line. Keep Caron or Paille with Thornton and Campbell and let Seguin center Ryder and for the sake of this thread Booth and use them in offensive situations instead of making the kid play a shut down role.

I'm not sure I want Seguin getting that experience at the expense of Boston's playoff run. We can all agree that Wheeler played well earlier this year at center, so I can't really see how his past experience at wing during the playoffs can show the complete story.

Weiss would be awesome, Seguin is not ready and Wheeler is a terrible center but can fill in if need be. Krejci, Bergeron and Weiss would be an excellent going into the playoffs

The Bruins would be crazy to break up Marchand from Bergeron.

I also don't think moving Ryder and Wheeler for Booth and Weiss is much of an upgrade, if any...and then the first on top? It makes no sense.
