Yes that is totally it - it's a Leaf thing, it has nothing to do with the fact that Voracek is a 21 year old 6'2'', 215 lbs winger with 1st line talent, that protects the puck extremely well, plays the PP and the PK, and does all this on his ELC. Versteeg is a 3rd line talent that plays well on the PP. Gunnarsson isn't a top 4 dman yet, Ross is a descent prospect nothing special, and the 3rd is a total crap shoot.

Columbus has no interest in adding more average pieces at the expense of above average talent - if Voracek was to be traded (which I doubt he will) the Jackets will be looking for a young PMD with elite talent

WhaaaaaaaT? You mean you dont want to trade your young skilled foward with superstar potential for my garbage?

It's not garbage, it's just not worth moving Voracek for. We don't need depth, especially on wing. We need a proven #1 defenseman who is under 30.

Can say first hand that the truth is the opposite. Jakub loves the team and his teammates. Also, RFA's don't have much of a choice. Howson's plan (for the last 2 years or so) allows for him to have the cap space to match any offers given towards Brassard, Voracek, Filatov, or Mason.

How does this happen?? Leafs fans had nothing to do with this thread. Some bonehead wrote a stupid proposal and is now blaming it on a fictitious neighbour kid who was in his house for some reason. Let's keep perspective in this, and Leafs fans out.

Your ten year old neighbour knows the format for proposing trades on headboards? He must have an account on here too. What's his screen name?

But...but.....but........Darren Dreger said he was available.

I do think TO and CBJ make good trading partners though. CBJ has some good young forwards and TO has some expendable D-men. The CBJ, if I'm not mistaken, are feeling pressure to win now.

I'd love Vorachek but I don't think it's happening.

Really? because I'd say the exact opposite. I see no trade to be had for either side. Toronto has nothing worth trading for outside of Kaberle and maybe Schenn, both of which Columbus would never give up Voracek for.

I wish people would actually look at our prospect pool before declaring "toronto has nothing we want" :/

I don't mind though, we're a decent team with the groundwork laid and one or two drafts away from making a serious playoff push. I'd rather re-sign kaberle, keep the band together and pick up a couple good players in the 2012 draft and then make a run at the cup.

CBJ has nothing to help out the Leafs and vice versa

Yes, because Columbus just needs more prospects.

Well, sorry about our lack of knowledge. See, 'round these parts, we know more about the price of soybeans and cattle feed than hockey. We think that a puck is nothing more than a frozen cow patty, since we've never seen anything of a similar shape to compare it to.

Now, if you'll excuse us, we need to turn in for the night. Electricity from a windmill isn't too efficient, so we need to fire up the candles that we make ourselves before bedding down with the horses.

The first hockey pucks were in fact frozen turd.

You however, bring nothing to the table (or trough, depending what part of Ohio you are in)

So, where's that overpayment everyone is talking about?

Columbus doesn't need any of these players...throwing a bunch of **** against the wall and seeing if it sticks never works.

I call bull pucky. You made a pucky proposal. It happens. Instead of blaming it on someone else, try and explain WTF you were thinking about when coming up with the idea.

He's clearly not a Leafs fan.
a) no Leafs fan would call him "Cunnarsson"
b) his screen name would tell anyone that knows how to read English that he is a Wings fan.

also... its "'nough" if you really want to get technical.

Quality > quantity, although I will say that for me, the formula is quality = quantity here.

While he has his moments, he's got a point this time. All we'd want out of Toronto are top-pairing capable defensemen. Schenn's got the wrong skillset, and we're not trading Voracek for a Kaberle rental. Didn't mention Phaneuf, but I want nothing to do with the guy anyways.
