Well what's hurt them tonight and against Phoenix was talented players not using their talent to score. While the defense definitely has its issues, Lehtonen was great both games and they gave up few enough goals in regulation that they should have won.
Morrow and Richards are the only top-line offensive players who are consistently scoring, though Ribeiro is at least creating. Eriksson, Neal and whoever the wing is on Ribeiro's right are contributing nothing at the moment, and it's the direct cause of most of these losses.
They're getting nothing out of the lower lines really either other than the occasional points from Ott, but that's what you get when you've got a fourth line of call-ups and Wandell, who is pointless since November IIRC.
I wonder why our team's playing like garbage lately.
Think Joe's got anything in motion? Maybe this is the catalyst needed for him to finally pull the trigger and fix the Stars.
I thnk the Game plan is to try to slide into the playoffs w/o spending too much more cash. Richards is gone lets get serious, the Phoenix deal is not even settled yet we could be a year4 away. I would also explore all options on Neal who has lost all physicality to his game since the suspension last year.
