Yes, but Miller has played poorly all year.

O no, I understand that completely and am not arguing it. I've been quite upset tuning in every game night and still seeing him in net. He does need a rest. It a possible reason his game was so poor tonight. I'm just saying, the guy is trashing Miller and what would he rather have us do, name Lalime the starter for the rest of the year?

Well, Ruff admits that he probably should have taken Miller out.

But he didn't because Lalime sucks even more.

He hasn't played Vezina-caliber.

He hasn't played poorly per se. Poorly as far as how good he CAN play? Yes.

But, outside of tonight, he hasn't exactly cost us any games either.

It would have been great if he actually said that

No, he hasn't. He hasn't played as well as last year, but the root cause for his poorer numbers is the amount of trainwrecks he's had compared to last year. Last year, his bad games were giving up 3-4 goals. This year, he's giving up 5+ in those bad ones. He hasn't been consistently poor. You don't go 20-10-2 in your last 32 starts by playing poorly.

That's certainly part of it but I miss the days of Curtis Brown and Michael Peca.

That is where the problem lies ..

Everyone wants to clutch and hold on to last years Miller !

Miller ever since the Olympics has been average at best !

After the Olympics last year and this year as well as his numbers speak to his mediocrity now....

It wasnt just "todays" game, this gos deeper than that and I say get something for him now before his stock falls farther because if he keeps playing this way , make no mistake , It will keep dropping !

You cant keep living off of one year ...and that is all Ryan has proven thus far !

Ok lets use a word that is over used on the Bills Board when talking about Fitzpatrick ...

Mediocre best describes Miller's play this year !

You only need to go back to last season when we had the #2 Pk unit in the NHL. You don't need to go all the way back to those guys.

I think I figured out why you hate Miller so much, you must have been the lone guy who wanted Noronen over Miller back in the day.

Yes 4pts but another game in hand on the Canes (3 now) and Thrashers (4)
