Update: Jackman and Jokinen listed as day to day

Both with lower body injuries per Vicki Hall twitter.

#Flames report that Olli Jokinen and Tim Jackman are listed as day-to-day with lower-body injuries.

I love Jackman and as you guys know I have been a huge fan of signing him from day 1... but he is still a bottom 6 player... I'd trade a more serious Jackman injury for a less serious Jokinen injury...

I just hope its not a high ankle sprain. I am still optimistic however that this isn't too serious, he was still able to finish off his shift and skate off on his own will. But this sucks, he has been a big time player for the Flames. Hopefully its no more than 4 weeks!

As much as i love Jackman, love his power, speed, willingness to jump in and make a play..he is still only a bottom 6 player. I'm more happy that Jokinen is not injured.

Feel bad for Jackman as he was a pivotal part of this team...let's hope he isint out for too long!

Sucks to see Jackman hurt. Having a great year. Hoping that the Jokinen injury isn't anything to worry about tho.

We'll get to see what Bouma is all about. He was a great player for the Vancouver Giants come crunch time. He's more then capable of playing a simple workman like game. Perfect for a bottom 6 role. I really liked him when he was in Vancouver.

I know he's bottom six, but probably one of the better in the league in his role this season.

Hopefully it's a break, not a sprain.

Have to like Jackman and hope for his speedy return but I don't think I would have expected such a good batch of responses at the beginning of the year. Ever since he learned how to put the puck in the net though, Flames fans are loving him, but with good reason. :p

Really? Ever since puck drop of game 1 Jackman has been our most consistent forward. He busts his ass every shift and when the team looked like it was giving up, Jackman was still giving it his all. It's nice to see him being rewared for his efforts with a career year and PP time.

Good to see they are only listed as day-to-day. Come back Jok and Jack!

Good to hear it isn't serious. Now if we can get some other guys to step up in their place, I think we'll be just fine.

Let me rephrase - it's not because he's a ****** player, it would be because a lot of Calgary fans were still hung up over losing Nystrom and McGrattan while Sutter went out to acquire Jackman and Ivanans, not knowing how they'd pan out.

I'd prefer McGrattan over Ivanans, and... Nystrom or Jackman I guess is a wash, although will go with Jackman.
Nystrom had a bit of a scoring touch when he was here as well, but Jackman's got a bigger body and probably won't be chasing the money like Nystrom.
