Great EP. I never like finales of my favorites shows cause I want more lol. Especially HBO/Showtime etc... because their seasons are so short.

Sad that it won't be back until 2012. Nice ending, with lots of loose ends to play with next season. I see Joan's daughter getting pregnant, and not knowing who's the dad as one story line. Should be an interesting second season.

Really freaking sad show. If I was a weaker man I would cry every week.

****ing your sons girlfriend/girlfriends daughter is pretty raunchy, but no ones mainlining junk if that's your definition of toned-up.

I really like the show, they don't have to mainline junk to keep me as a viewer.

Don't have Showtime in Canada and I don't have cable/satellite so... I'm downloading the whole first season right now... I've always really liked William H. Macy... I had no idea he was even near 61, but he's still awesome and surely doesn't act like it.

Season 2 is not that far off. Just after the Holidays.

Can't wait. I'm catching up on what I missed from Season 1. Someone here who said it's unlike anything else out there nailed it. It's exactly what it says it is - shameless. Even ruthless. The way Karen is written, it's audacious to say the least, a lot of writers and networks (even premium networks) would be scared to put that on TV. I feel engaged to pretty much every character.

Most underrated show on TV. I don't have showtime anymore so I am hoping to find it on Justin TV or something.

It's a real modern family & Emmy Rossum = Amazing

Frankly, I think it's Emmy Rossum's show to be the star of. And the dynamic between Lip and Karen might be my favorite part of the show. At the end of the season, looks like writers really attacked that and Karen's character more.

I haven't seen the UK version, but I've read some things, and I hope it's not going to just simply copying the same storyline with American language.

One of the things rarely mentioned on TV, much less shown, is people taking a dump unless it's for a quick bathroom humor joke. This show explores it in all it's disgusting glory in the opening every week.

Shameless indeed.

I heard in the British version Fiona is a major character but not the major character. In the US version Russom has stolen the show & is the major character of the show.

I've read things that happened in the UK version. I'm not familiar with any of the actors they've had on that show, but they won't be able to do what they did in the US version. It just won't work. You can't completely roll over the cast and story arc and expect to keep what seems to be an already devout following.

Doesn't she leave with Steve after the 2nd season?

No way Showtime does it that way.

Yeah no one would watch. I know I wouldn't. Without Rossum the show is a bust. I mean William H Macy is funny but all the personal attachment is in the Fiona character. At least it is with me.

I just want Steve to disappear. I hate his girl pants & he his hair looks like he is still trying to play Goku.

Steve is played by the guy who played professor X in the X-Men first class. The actress who play's Fiona in the British version is borderline ugly. I know a lot of people had a problem with Rossum playing Fiona because she is drop dead gorgeous.

Something I noticed that Stig does a lot with American TV shows that are remakes of British versions is to compare the two. I think that's silly. Let each one stand on its own.

1st episode leaked. Was alright but kind of lacked some of the first season charm. Hopefully it gets better.

On Verizon it's On Demand already, just found this out.

This is great news for my immediate plans.
