I love how we are completely screwing with their trap system. I don't know if I've ever seen something so apparent about dealing with defense.

Man Lavi is a damn great coach..

This team is miles ahead of where it was when Stevens was the coach.

I mean at least the trap has more then one guy in the Neutral zone. It looks like 4 guys sitting on the blue line.

Actually, you have to actually look like you're playing the puck or they'll blow it dead, sometimes even call a penalty.

I really don't see how this extreme version of the 1-3-1 is really the best choice for the personnel on that club

I laughed out loud when our defenseman basically just stared at the forechecker, who didn't even try to take the puck from him.

The Caps did the same thing in their last game against TB. The fans booed then, too.

I'm going to have to really think about this, and maybe do some research. I can tell you who they were during his draft year.

That JVR-Roo-Carter line has some serious potential.

Because they have to dress Randy Jones and Marc-Andre Bergeron regularly; their defense kinda stinks after the first few guys. Need as much help as they can get.

I'm imagining Stevens' strategies for this game....

For those not listening to the Comcast feed, they reported that PL almost kicked himself out of practice for having to teach this new, patient system against TB's defense.
