(Man, I really posted this thread in the nick of time...)
All right, it's sad that we lost, but the Sabres are hot in the moment, we miss 4 of our top D-men, our top scorer, and our only offensive tank with experience (AK) just seems to be having brain cramps on a regular basis.
everyone saying price made no key saves in the shootout okay but at least he took us there mabye if are offense could score more then 2 goals we could have won that in regulation ......on another note didnt catch all of the game how did nash look???
On the bright side, Habs gain a point and are tied with Boston with 69 pts. They have played one more game than Boston which gives Boston the 3rd seed. Tampa also earned a point in a SO loss to Philly, so Habs remain 5 pts back of Tampa for 2nd.
I can't believe people are mad at Price about the SO, big deal, one stinker of a shootout for him this season, he's pretty much the only reason why the Habs are in a position to battle for the top of the division. I'm disappointed that slipped away but Price is the one Hab that no one can say crap about this year.
Games like this is why we're not winning the division this year. The Habs just aren't consistent enough to be a division winner.
Other notes:
Great game by Patches.
Nice game by DD and Pouliot. They have good chemistry together.
Good 65 minute game by Price, but disappointing shootout performance.
Pyatt has no business in a shootout, unless you've run through at least 11 other forwards and 4 defensemen (Subban, Wiz, Weber, and Hammer).
AKost's confidence is clearly shot. The way he handled his shootout opportunity says everything, especially the look on his face afterwards. I really think it's time to get rid of this guy. He's just lost it with us, and probably needs a trade to jump-start him.

I thought he looked comfortable, even crowding the offensive slot on one of his first shifts. I thought all the Bulldogs looked great, it<s the veterans that looked out of place! Not the same match ups I guess...
