Bad decision by the coaching staff to sit on a 2-0 lead then to throw Pyatt out on a Penalty Shot when he still had Weber, Hamrlik to choose from.

But mostly sitting on a 2-0 lead drives me nutzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

They gave this one away... one of the worst game for the veterans collectively... this is unacceptable.

Gauthier's priority : making sure sure that Gomez and AK are not part of this team in march.

Forget Pyatt, why was Gomez in the shootout before Subban?

Tom Pyatt? Scott Gomez? Really?

What a waste of a good hockey game.

(Man, I really posted this thread in the nick of time...)

All right, it's sad that we lost, but the Sabres are hot in the moment, we miss 4 of our top D-men, our top scorer, and our only offensive tank with experience (AK) just seems to be having brain cramps on a regular basis.

Price can't win them all.

On that side-note, I need some glycerine...

We all know they won't because the hockey gods hate the Habs this season.

Who are WE getting for AK46? The only way the Habs will accept to ship AK46 away is for another roster player.

It was obvious after Kostitsyn we weren't going to score..we have no other shooters..Gomez? Pyatt LOL

Price is probably upset he had 2 shots to win it and couldnt't do it. Still can't see how Gerbe scored...there was no room!

I think my grandmother, who has arthritis in her wrists, could have a harder shot than him.

On the bright side, Habs gain a point and are tied with Boston with 69 pts. They have played one more game than Boston which gives Boston the 3rd seed. Tampa also earned a point in a SO loss to Philly, so Habs remain 5 pts back of Tampa for 2nd.

I dont know whose worse, JM, Gomez, or AKosts?

At least Gomez is consistent. He puts up minuses like nobodies business.

I can't believe people are mad at Price about the SO, big deal, one stinker of a shootout for him this season, he's pretty much the only reason why the Habs are in a position to battle for the top of the division. I'm disappointed that slipped away but Price is the one Hab that no one can say crap about this year.

Games like this is why we're not winning the division this year. The Habs just aren't consistent enough to be a division winner.

Other notes:

Great game by Patches.

Nice game by DD and Pouliot. They have good chemistry together.

Good 65 minute game by Price, but disappointing shootout performance.

Pyatt has no business in a shootout, unless you've run through at least 11 other forwards and 4 defensemen (Subban, Wiz, Weber, and Hammer).

AKost's confidence is clearly shot. The way he handled his shootout opportunity says everything, especially the look on his face afterwards. I really think it's time to get rid of this guy. He's just lost it with us, and probably needs a trade to jump-start him.

Ape fecal matter would be fair trade. Then throw it Gomez.

Well that sucks.

Also Gomez knows he has a terrible shot, and has scored by deking before. Kind of annoying that he'd saucer pass it to Enroth.

And Pyatt...

Oh well. Got a point, I guess.

I thought he looked comfortable, even crowding the offensive slot on one of his first shifts. I thought all the Bulldogs looked great, it<s the veterans that looked out of place! Not the same match ups I guess...

Hammer and Wiz were dreadful in that last period... We stopped skating and shooting after the first period!

no way we should have lost the Islanders game or this one.... Wasted 2 points!!!

The PP in the last minute of regulation and to start OT was horrible. That was their chance at redemption. I had a bad feeling about the shootout.
